Inside a parlor on the Gwameir, deliberately staged to resemble a cozy, familiar "fireside chat" and exuding a traditional aristocratic air, Luther began his debut in the CE World.
"Citizens of Earth and the cosmos, I apologize for this sudden intrusion.
We are the private armed organization 'Celestial Being,' dedicated to realizing the Newtype philosophy of my father, Zeon Zum Deikun, and guiding all of humanity toward a brand-new era.
Regrettably, the war currently raging between Plant and the Earth Alliance is, without a doubt, diametrically opposed to my father's ideals, and it shows every sign of escalating further.
Just moments ago, the unrestrained combat between these two sides completely destroyed Heliopolis, the space colony of the self-proclaimed neutral nation of Orb!
Before you listen to my words, please look upon this unbelievable reality!"
As the "bait" to hook every viewer, the Luther Fleet first displayed on the broadcast—via the Gwameir's main monitor—the wreckage of Heliopolis, which, though completely disintegrated, still retained its recognizable silhouette.
After the live feed, complete with the current standard time, had sufficiently piqued the "audience's" interest, Luther posed a question that everyone was dying to have answered, speaking on their behalf.
"So, who is ultimately responsible for such a horrific tragedy?
Is it the Earth Alliance, which committed a similar atrocity in the 'Bloody Valentine' last year, causing the war to escalate rapidly?
Or is it Plant, which responded to the 'Bloody Valentine' with such extreme measures, using Neutron Jammers to trigger energy shortages and famine across the entire Earth?
It is truly regrettable, but whether it is the Earth Alliance, Plant, or even the owner of Heliopolis, Orb, all of them are murderers in this instance!"
The "Bloody Valentine" and the "April Fool's Crisis"—the two events Luther mentioned that occurred on corresponding dates last year—were undoubtedly the landmark incidents that caused the war to expand drastically and brought the chaos of conflict to virtually every corner of the Earth sphere.
Naturally, this immediately stirred up painful memories for everyone, whether on Earth or in space, Natural or Coordinator.
And now, one could say that Heliopolis, the only place that had survived those two events, had likewise been destroyed in the flames of war, becoming the latest sacrifice, a burnt offering, a living victim.
With Luther's interpretation and connection of these events, the "Collapse of Heliopolis" and the Luther Fleet—or rather, "Celestial Being"—which was the first to broadcast information regarding the incident, undoubtedly captured the attention of everyone in the Earth sphere.
Considering that the CE World's Earth sphere, beyond the major belligerents of Plant and the Earth Alliance—namely the Atlantic Federation, the Eurasian Federation, and the Republic of East Asia—contained various neutral entities with differing situations and stances, it was certain that after Luther's initial "explosive news" release, anyone with an interest would be able to find the complete, unedited version of the speech he was delivering in the name of "Celestial Being."
Next, to further substantiate his assertion that "all three parties are guilty" and to bolster the credibility of "Celestial Being," Luther began to patiently list carefully selected evidence.
The first to be displayed was, naturally, the evidence that would drag even the seemingly innocent Orb into the fray.
In this regard, the evidence Monica had previously collected, the Astray Gundam units recovered by the Gwameir, and even the surveillance logs from Luther's "Time Observer" provided corroboration from various angles, ultimately forming a highly persuasive chain of evidence through careful selection and editing.
This included the clear mobile suit production facilities within Heliopolis;
Design data for the G-Series and Astray-series Gundams extracted from the facility;
Footage of the actual machines being tested before the collapse of Heliopolis;
And the surveillance data from the four pilots and their Gundams who had engaged Luther, the monitoring footage of the Strike Gundam fighting inside Heliopolis, and the physical Astray Gundam recovered by the Gwameir.
Relying on this complete chain of evidence, Luther unfolded his explanation and deductions.
"As you can all see, the supposedly neutral Orb was secretly designing and producing the G-Series Gundams for the Earth Alliance at Heliopolis in the remote L3.
The GAT-X105 Strike Gundam has already escaped alongside the newly built warship LCAM-01XA Archangel, believed to be heading for the Artemis Fortress base of the Eurasian Federation, also located in L3;
Meanwhile, the GAT-X102 Duel Gundam, GAT-X103 Buster Gundam, GAT-X207 Blitz Gundam, and GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam were seized by the special forces led by ZAFT ace Rau Le Creuset and are believed to be returning to Plant;
As for the reason Orb helped develop them, it was surely for the Astray Gundam series, built in secret workshops behind the Earth Alliance's back."
Through detailed physical and video displays, Luther irrefutably proved Orb's overstepping behavior as a neutral nation developing new weapons for a belligerent;
He also used the physical Astray Gundam units, previously hidden in the shadows, to provide a motive that would convince the vast majority of people;
Through this two-part argument, he first pulled Orb down from its seat as a mere victim;
With that premise established, showing the counterattack by the Archangel and its crew as members of the Earth Alliance's Atlantic Federation transformed them from "flawed victims" into "destructive intruders and murderers";
Of course, in his explanation, Luther certainly did not let the mastermind, Creuset, off the hook.
"So, what did Plant, or rather ZAFT—or even just the Creuset Team on the scene—do when faced with this situation?
Not to mention how our omnipotent Nebula Medal recipient, 'Captain Creuset,' obtained such classified intelligence, he was able to seize the perfect moment—even while the Earth Alliance, specifically the Atlantic Federation, kept it under strict secrecy, unknown even to their allies in the Eurasian Federation and the Republic of East Asia—to arrive at the scene on the very day the Atlantic Federation secretly dispatched elite troops, including Lieutenant Mu La Flaga, the 'Hawk of Endymion,' to receive them.
Moreover, when faced with what were at most potential future threats—as they were only test machines and their specific performance should have been unknown—'Captain Creuset' was not only decisive and ruthless, deciding to launch an attack without hesitation;
His unit configuration also happened to include extra pilots, as well as the personnel and equipment required for special operations, allowing them to complete a full sequence of infiltration, demolition, and seizure right under the nose of a Heliopolis that hadn't even lowered its guard. Truly, they were well-prepared and ready for battle at all times.
Of course, it is quite clear that ZAFT's 'Captain Creuset' felt not a shred of hesitation regarding the fact that this series of actions might place the civilians on Heliopolis in danger;
And on the other side, while I do not know the inner thoughts of the Earth Alliance soldiers, it is clear that they did not value the safety of the civilians on Heliopolis more than their own secret new weapons.
Yes, yes, this is war. I understand, I truly do."
