"Oh my, I haven't seen you two little brothers around before. Ah, Young Master Sasuke, my apologies for not recognizing you sooner. Is this your friend? Please, come in."
This person was Uchiha Chiyuki, a rare medical ninja within the Uchiha clan. Most Uchiha were proficient in Fire Release and almost none possessed a natural affinity for Water, let alone the study of medical ninjutsu.
As for Yang-style chakra, it was completely non-existent. Chiyuki was the tallest among the short, so to speak. Although she was always humble about it, her medical ninjutsu had reached the level required for employment at the Ninja Hospital.
The two were somewhat surprised upon arriving; although they knew of this place, they had never been here before. They had expected a vast, open field, but it turned out to be a single room.
There were quite a few members of the Police Force in the vicinity, and they all greeted Sasuke upon seeing him. Sasuke, in turn, struck a pose that Hui found very familiar.
Just like when he first entered the Ninja Academy, Sasuke kept his hands in his pockets, projecting an air of coolness.
"This place was built by a senior in the clan. It is said that he is the one who invented the Flame Explosion Technique," Chiyuki explained as she walked.
"We have arrived. Any further and you will need to activate your Sharingan for verification. My apologies, Young Master Sasuke, but there is a clan regulation that only members with an activated Sharingan may enter this training ground. I cannot let you in, please forgive me," Chiyuki said, looking somewhat troubled.
The two exchanged a glance, and Sasuke spoke up, "How disappointing. Hui, let's just go back."
Hui did not answer immediately. His father had indeed told him to come to this training ground for testing. His father did not "know" that he had already awakened his eyes, and he did not want to expose this fact and cause his father worry.
Since his father had said so, it meant that according to the "regulations," they were allowed to enter.
"Big Sister Chiyuki, the rule for entering the training ground isn't that one must have awakened their eyes, is it?" Hui turned to ask Chiyuki.
"Eh? It is indeed not. The rule is that any Uchiha clan member who knows the [Flame Explosion Technique] may enter for training, accompanied by at most one friend or family member," Chiyuki replied subconsciously.
"Then there is no problem. I know the [Flame Explosion Technique]. Sasuke is my friend and will be entering with me. Big Sister, do you think that is acceptable?" Hui asked Chiyuki.
"But without a Sharingan, how can you prove you know this technique? Even if you are Young Master Sasuke's friend, it is not allowed." Chiyuki looked down at the brazen little brat, suppressing the urge to blast him out.
At this moment, an Uchiha dressed in the uniform of the Police Force stepped forward and said, "Lady Chiyuki, he does indeed know the technique. It was he who was testing the [Flame Explosion Technique] outside the training ground today, and it caused quite a stir."
Chiyuki suddenly realized, and her attitude became much warmer: "So that's it. It's Hui. Truly a hero in his youth, to have mastered such a difficult technique at this age."
Sasuke snorted from the side, expressing his dissatisfaction.
After the two entered, Chiyuki turned to the Police Force member who had spoken earlier and complained, "Why didn't you say so sooner? Now, when will I ever be able to transfer out of this godforsaken place? Everyone is just testing shadow clones, what kind of life-threatening danger could there be?"
"I am sick and tired of treating heart palpitations every single day. You watch the entrance, I'm going in to take a look." After speaking, Chiyuki walked into the training ground without looking back, leaving the unlucky Police Force member behind.
"Hui-kun, we can just watch from here. The shockwaves inside will be blocked by this barrier. You may use the Earth Clone Technique now."
Chiyuki led the two to the observation deck, where a massive spherical barrier caught their attention.
The barrier appeared to have two layers; the outer one emitted a purplish-red light. Through this layer, one could vaguely see a pale blue barrier that looked somewhat "leaky." It looked less like a barrier and more like a sphere woven from threads.
Hui turned and walked toward the pile of dirt stacked at the entrance, forming hand seals to release his ninjutsu.
[Earth Clone Technique]
After finishing the technique, Hui jumped back onto the observation deck.
Chiyuki stared at the Earth Clone in a daze and hurriedly ran to the side.
"Activate Level 3 protection, this time it's an Earth Clone."
After returning, Chiyuki said to the two, "My apologies, my apologies. I didn't expect Hui-kun to want to test with the Earth Clone Technique. As expected of that man's son!"
Hui asked with some curiosity, "Big Sister Chiyuki, can an Earth Clone really release this ninjutsu?"
Chiyuki was left somewhat bewildered by the question: "Naturally it can. Did Lord Chuanhe not tell you, Hui-kun? Besides, if it is an Earth Clone, it is currently known to be the clone with the greatest destructive power."
Sasuke had been feeling irritable watching Hui skillfully release the ninjutsu, and upon hearing this, he asked subconsciously, "Why? Aren't they both solid clones? What difference could there be?"
"Young Master Sasuke, you will understand once you see the results in a moment." Chiyuki could not explain why, so she could only steer the question toward the outcome.
Soon, Sasuke pushed his lingering questions to the back of his mind. The purplish-red barrier in front of them became visibly more intense, and the inner barrier, wrapped within the outer one, was almost impossible to see with the naked eye.
"Hui-kun, Young Master Sasuke, these are goggles. Put them on." Chiyuki handed two pairs of goggles to them.
They put them on obediently; they did not want to experience the feeling of being blinded again.
A blinding light and a dull thud emanated from within the barrier.
Chiyuki let out a heartfelt exclamation: "Truly impressive. I suspect this rating will be at least A-rank. As expected of Hui-kun."
"A-rank? What is that?" Hui asked curiously.
"How boring. I thought I'd be able to see it more clearly, but I didn't see anything at all." This was Sasuke's voice.
Chiyuki responded to them one by one: "Damage rating is just a general term. C-rank corresponds to the destructive power of a Chunin, B-rank to that of a Jonin, and A-rank to that of an Elite Jonin."
"Hui-kun, are you really only six years old? I feel like you could try competing for the position of Hokage." Chiyuki teased.
"Young Master Sasuke, because this technique is overly dangerous, the protective measures must be quite strict." After answering Hui's question, Chiyuki turned to speak to Sasuke.
Suddenly, Chiyuki realized something: "Hui-kun, didn't you feel any discomfort in your heart? You know, that burning sensation?"
Chiyuki's words jolted Hui. It seemed that both times he had performed the technique, he hadn't received any feedback memories!?
"No, Big Sister Chiyuki, it seems I didn't receive any feedback memories. It was the same last time as well," Hui said after pondering for a moment.
"That's impossible. Such a situation has never occurred before." Chiyuki grew anxious.
She then opened the medical kit she had placed nearby and began to examine him.
Chiyuki's brows furrowed deeper and deeper. No problems? How could there be no problems? With such a significant issue, why was Hui's body so normal?
Sasuke asked from the side with concern, "Big Sister Chiyuki, is Hui alright?"
Sasuke felt a pang of self-reproach, feeling as though he had caused trouble for Hui twice now. His hands were clenched tight.
After a long period of contemplation, Chiyuki said, "Rest assured, Young Master Sasuke, Hui is perfectly healthy. I cannot resolve this issue. My apologies, Hui, you will have to ask Senior Chuanhe to see what the situation is."
"I have never seen a Solid Clone Technique fail to provide memory feedback before. I will go back and ask my teacher if there are any similar cases."
Hearing this, Sasuke felt his heart settle slightly.
"Hui, let's head back quickly and ask the senior what is going on."
Hui was also concerned about his own condition, but before that, he was even more curious about what his rating was this time.
"As long as there's no problem, Sister Chiyuki, what was my damage rating this time?"
Chiyuki was rendered speechless: "Can't you worry about yourself for once, kid? The rating is naturally an A. To have trained ninjutsu to this level at six years old, I fear even Lord Itachi and Lord Shisui were no better."
"Haha, thank you for your concern, Sister Chiyuki. Next time, just call us by our names; I am Hui, and he is Sasuke."
Chiyuki chuckled in spite of herself: "You little brat, I'll remember. Hurry back now. I still have follow-up work to do. That goes for you too, Young Master Sasuke."
Sasuke was somewhat annoyed: "Why do you still address me like that? My name is Sasuke! That's it, let's go, Hui."
Chiyuki smiled without a word. It was natural for her to address Hui that way, but she could not do the same when facing Sasuke.
Watching the two depart, Chiyuki returned to the training grounds. Looking at the piles of dirt within the barrier, she rubbed her temples in frustration.
"It looks like I'll be working overtime again today, and I still have to check the archives when I get back. When will this ever end?"
