Did the Ninja Code say we couldn't attack civilians?
Should we take a look at what Rain and Sand had done to civilians during their war these past few years?
Or what Rain and Sand had done to civilians when they invaded the Land of Fire?
These civilians didn't believe in any Ninja Code at all. It had no power to restrain them!
"What should we do with those civilians?"
The civilians trembled all over.
Uchiha Chonhua glanced at them and said, "Ignore them. They have nothing to do with our mission."
Uchiha Shuren raised his kunai. "Aren't you worried they'll reveal our whereabouts?"
"With me here, even if they do, the enemy won't find us." Uchiha Chonhua gave him a sidelong glance. "Besides, aren't we trying to draw attention? Letting the enemy know we're here is exactly what we want."
"Chonhua's right." Uchiha Fugaku settled the matter. "Leave the civilians alone. Shuren, go interrogate these Rain ninjas."
Seeing the Konoha ninjas busying themselves with their own affairs, the civilians exchanged glances and cautiously shifted their bodies.
They didn't dare move too much. As they slipped away, they watched the Uchiha, and saw that they really didn't care about them.
The next moment, the civilians gritted their teeth, summoned every ounce of strength they had, and scattered in all directions like startled birds and beasts.
Uchiha Chonhua silently watched them flee.
The Uchiha Clan was skilled at interrogating enemies. One glare from the Sharingan, and the enemy spilled everything like beans from a pod, wishing they could recount every experience of their life.
"Captain Fugaku, they don't know anything about the supply routes."
Uchiha Shuren looked at the Rain ninjas in discontent. They didn't have a single useful piece of information.
"They did tell us about some defensive fortifications, though.
