This Draw Is Void-Please Draw Again

Hizashi Hyuga's face flushed red. He hid his reddened fist behind his back, not wanting Hyuga Shin to see it.

Hizashi felt as if he'd punched an iron plate. He endured the pain with all his might, not daring to make a sound for fear that if he opened his mouth, he'd let out a scream.

He'd punched someone else, yet he was the one who got hurt. That was so damn embarrassing.

Hyuga Shin chuckled, then said, "Since you punched me, shouldn't I punch you back?"

As he spoke, Hyuga Shin raised his fist, pretending he was about to hit him.

Chapter 10: This Draw Is Void—Please Draw Again

Hizashi Hyuga fearfully backed away a few steps, then, feeling embarrassed, stiffened his neck and looked up at Hyuga Shin.

If not for Hizashi Hyuga's trembling legs, Hyuga Shin wouldn't have thought he was scared.

"Forget it!" Hyuga Shin lowered his fist. He wasn't going to stoop to arguing with a little kid. If he hit too hard and beat Hizashi so badly that even his own father wouldn't recognize him—or he wouldn't recognize his father—that wouldn't be good.

What? You're asking why he wouldn't recognize his father?

If you got your brain knocked around, you wouldn't recognize your dad either.

"Don't get cocky! Once I learn the Gentle Fist Technique, I'll make you pay for what you did today." Seeing Hyuga Shin walk away, Hizashi Hyuga started shouting again.

"Damn it! You want revenge on me? Are you kidding? You were the one who hit me first. You should be glad I'm letting it go, you little brat, and now you want revenge?"

Hyuga Shin, who hadn't gone far, immediately turned around and strode back, looking furious.

"Looks like I'll have to teach you a lesson! Be careful. I hit pretty hard."

Hyuga Shin cracked his knuckles, a cold smile on his face.

"Y-you... what are you going to do?"

Hizashi Hyuga took two steps back and stared at Hyuga Shin in fear.

"I want to teach you a lesson: pride is worthless. Look at you. You wanted to save face, and now you're going to get beaten up. What a bad deal."

With that, Hyuga Shin punched him. He moved so fast that there was no way a four-year-old like Hizashi Hyuga could dodge.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

After several muffled thumps, Hyuga Shin walked off in style.

Hizashi Hyuga lay on the ground, tears streaming down his face.

"Oh, right!" After walking a few steps, Hyuga Shin turned around and threatened Hizashi Hyuga, whose face had been beaten into a swollen lump. "Go home and say you fell by accident. Otherwise, every time I see you, I'll beat you up."

Hizashi Hyuga had been afraid Hyuga Shin would turn around and beat him again. Now he let out a huge sigh of relief.

"Did you hear me?"

Hizashi Hyuga shuddered, then replied in a tearful voice, "I-I understand."

He hadn't planned to tell anyone about this embarrassing incident anyway. Getting beaten by someone the Hyuga Clan considered a good-for-nothing was just too humiliating.

Hyuga Shin nodded in satisfaction. He'd discovered that picking on little kids felt pretty good. "I really have fallen so low," he said with a sigh.

Once Hyuga Shin had disappeared from the training ground, Hizashi Hyuga burst into tears. He'd held them in to save face, but now that no one was around, he let them all out.

Although he'd already left the training ground, Hyuga Shin could still hear Hizashi Hyuga crying, thanks to his Observation Haki.

"Too proud to admit defeat, and now you're suffering for it. You were scared out of your wits, yet you still ran your mouth. Serves you right."

Back home, Hyuga Shin began bathing and burning incense, hoping his luck would be a little better today.

Hyuga Shin knew it was probably useless, but a little self-comfort—and a chance to calm his mind—couldn't hurt.

"I'm not really short on anything right now, but if I could get an artifact powerful enough to dominate everything, or some incredible ability, I'd truly be invincible."

Hyuga Shin rubbed his hands together and sat on the bed, murmuring to himself.

He already had plenty of abilities. Once he'd trained them all to their peak, he might not be able to defeat Kaguya Otsutsuki, but he could easily fight her to a standstill.

He closed his eyes and calmed his thoughts, returning to a state of perfect tranquility.

In that state, Hyuga Shin became aware of everything happening around him: the movement of the air, the presence of insects. It all surfaced in his mind.

The range continued to expand. Half an hour later, he could sense every person and living creature in the entire Hyuga Clan.

After a long while, Hyuga Shin finally opened his eyes. A glint shone in his pale blue eyes, dazzling in the pitch-black night.

"I can't believe my Observation Haki, which hadn't improved at all, has actually gotten stronger. What a pleasant surprise." Hyuga Shin smiled.

The best place to train Observation Haki was in battle. At the most critical moments, the body's potential could be pushed to the limit, improving one's Observation Haki.

That was why this improvement had taken Hyuga Shin by surprise. Still, it was only a mild surprise; his Observation Haki wasn't all that useful to him right now.

"It's time to draw."

Hyuga Shin connected to the system and entered the System Space. He didn't even call out to the system, simply opening the lottery page.

Then he pressed the draw button. Just like before, he had to press it twice: the first press selected the items on the wheel, and the second drew his prize from among them.

There were ten prizes this time.

They were: Kekkei Genkai: Wood Release, Gilgamesh's Gate of Babylon, Zoan Bear-Bear Fruit, Logia Rumble-Rumble Fruit (Perfect Version), and the King's Excalibur.

Millenniummon's Space-Time Distortion, Kekkei Genkai: Lava Release, Zanpakuto Sode no Shirayuki, Armament Haki, and the Hogyoku.

Hyuga Shin was stunned. But there were a few duds among them.

Take Gilgamesh's Gate of Babylon, for example. It wasn't connected to the City of Gold; it was empty inside. What was the point of winning that? Was it just for showing off?

And that Bear-Bear Fruit was even worse than the Gate of Babylon! Even if the Gate of Babylon was useless, it still came with its own special effects!

The rest were all good. The prizes Hyuga Shin wanted most were the Hogyoku and Millenniummon's Space-Time Distortion.

There was no need to explain the Hogyoku. It was a cheat code from Bleach. Once he got it, Hyuga Shin could do whatever he wanted.

Space-Time Distortion was even more incredible. It let you jump around through time and space. If anyone could kill him, he'd admit defeat.

Even Hyuga Shin, who already thought he had plenty of abilities, couldn't help looking greedy. He wanted those prizes badly.

With his heart pounding, Hyuga Shin pressed the draw button again. But once he'd pressed it, the excitement abruptly gave way to an unusual calm.

The pointer slowly came to a stop. To Hyuga Shin's astonishment, it landed on the black line between Armament Haki and the Hogyoku.

Hyuga Shin immediately grew excited. According to the system's rules, didn't that mean both prizes were his? He leaped up in delight.
