So when Chen lay sleeping on his desk, no one bothered him. Then again, even before, no one had ever dared to bother him when he slept at his desk.
After school that afternoon, Chen waved goodbye to Ran and the others, then went home with Akako Koizumi.
"By the way, haven't you forgotten something?" Akako Koizumi asked Chen.
"Forgotten something? What? I don't remember forgetting anything," Chen asked, looking puzzled.
"You forgot that you told Ai you'd pick her up after school. Don't you remember now?"
"Uh, I really did forget until you mentioned it." Chen smacked his forehead, then thought for a moment. "We got out late today. Ai's probably already gone home. She wouldn't still be waiting at school."
"That's true. With Ai's personality, she'd probably leave if you were even a little late." Akako Koizumi nodded in agreement.
Then Chen and Akako Koizumi went home together.
"What? Ai isn't back yet?"
Only after Chen returned home did he realize that Ai had not come back.
"Didn't you say you were going to pick Ai up? Didn't you find her?" Akemi Miyano asked Chen.
Chen's expression stiffened slightly. Could he say that he had not gone to pick Ai up at all? Even gentle Akemi Miyano would surely blame him for that.
"I'll go look for her." Chen immediately drove off toward Teitan Elementary School.
He had no idea whether Ai was still waiting at Teitan Elementary School.
Although Teitan Elementary School and Teitan High School were next to each other, the campuses were so large that there was still quite a distance between them.
After driving to Teitan Elementary School, Chen spotted Ai at a glance, standing at the school gate and still waiting.
Since Ai was the only one left at the school, Chen naturally
