Shizuka Hattori's voice came through. From the sound of it, Kazuha could more or less tell that Shizuka Hattori was probably fine, and she finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"It's nothing. I was just worried about Aunt Shizuka. How are you now, Auntie?" Kazuha asked Shizuka Hattori.
"So you knew. I'm fine. I'm doing very well," Shizuka Hattori told Kazuha.
Well, saying she was doing very well was actually a lie to Kazuha, because Shizuka Hattori was in a truly terrible mood right now.
Originally, Shizuka Hattori had planned to defeat Hyuga Shin and use that to make him apologize to her son, Heiji Hattori.
But now... having been defeated, Shizuka Hattori was too embarrassed to bring it up. She was even too embarrassed to go looking for Hyuga Shin again.
Forget it. Let it go.
Only after confirming that Shizuka Hattori was all right did Kazuha hang up. Then she stared at Shin in astonishment.
"Why are you looking at me like I'm some kind of monster? It makes me really uncomfortable."
Shin noticed Kazuha looking at him as though he were a monster and could not help feeling uneasy. What kind of look was that?
"You actually defeated Aunt Shizuka."
"That's what surprised you?" Shin glanced at Kazuha. Was there really any need to make such a fuss over this?
"Isn't that worth being surprised about? I've seen Aunt Shizuka's swordsmanship with my own eyes. It's incredible."
Thinking of Shizuka Hattori's kendo, Kazuha still felt a lingering chill. Even with a wooden sword, one strike could probably break someone's bones.
"I didn't expect you to be this strong."
"Want to spar with me?" Shin asked Kazuha. Kazuha had practiced aikido, and she was not weak either.
