"Chen, are you interested in catching that murderer?" Sonoko Suzuki stopped pursuing the matter and asked Chen instead.
"What? Sonoko, what did you say?"
"I said, Chen, are you interested in catching that murderer? The entire Beika City is in a state of panic now."
"Come on, I'm not a detective, much less a police officer." Chen waved a hand at Sonoko.
"By the way, Sonoko, you'd better have your family's bodyguards pick you up lately."
After all, Sonoko truly had no fighting ability. If she was unlucky enough to run into the murderer, she would be in real danger.
"Got it. I will. My mother already told me so." Sonoko nodded.
"But Chen, are you worried about me?" Sonoko's heart suddenly sweetened as she looked at Chen happily.
"Yeah, I'm worried about you. I care about you a lot." As Chen spoke, he reached out and pinched Sonoko's cheek.
"Just talk. Don't go putting your hands on people." Akako Koizumi raised her hand and slapped Chen's hand away.
Chen looked at Akako in astonishment, but she had already turned her head away.
Soon afterward, class began, so Sonoko returned to her seat and stopped talking to Chen.
"That guy didn't come?" Chen glanced toward Heiji Hattori's seat. Thinking about it, though, there was nothing strange about it. He had probably gone off to investigate the case.
"Who didn't come?"
Though Chen had spoken quietly, Akako Koizumi, who was seated beside him, still heard him and asked.
"Can't you tell who I mean by looking where I'm looking?" Chen said to Akako.
"Oh, you mean Heiji Hattori."
Following Chen's gaze, Akako saw Heiji Hattori's empty seat. Class had already begun, yet Heiji still had not arrived. Clearly, he was not coming.
But Heiji Hattori had nothing to do with her.
