If Sonoko Suzuki lived here, then Tomoko would have one more reason to visit Chen's house in the future.
That was precisely why Tomoko had agreed to let Sonoko move into his house.
As for how Chen knew, it was simple—Tomoko had told him.
"Hey, what are you laughing about?" Sonoko asked Chen. Seeing him suddenly laugh aloud, she could not help but ask.
"Ahem, it was nothing." Chen cleared his throat, then rose and walked toward Vermouth.
"Damn it, am I really no match for that woman?" Sonoko muttered, glancing at Vermouth.
That one glance made her sadly realize that she truly did not seem as charming as the other woman. Vermouth's allure surpassed hers by an unknown margin.
It was not that Sonoko was unattractive. In fact, once she took off her headband, she was very beautiful, looking just like Ai Haibara when she grew up.
Even Akemi had nearly mistaken her for Shiho Miyano before.
Sonoko puffed up her cheeks, looking as though she was about to sulk.
"Why are you angry? What were you whispering about with Chen earlier?" Ran Mouri asked Sonoko curiously.
"So Ran, you're quite the gossip too." Sonoko turned her head and saw Ran asking so eagerly, prompting her to tease her.
Sonoko's teasing made Ran blush slightly. Still, she really did want to know what Sonoko had been talking about with Chen.
"Then, Sonoko, can you satisfy my curiosity?" Ran moved closer and asked.
"I want to know too. You don't mind letting me know as well, do you?" Kazuha Toyama leaned over and asked Sonoko too.
Sonoko's face reddened slightly. She absolutely would not say it. Telling Chen earlier had already been bold enough; if all her close girlfriends found out too, Sonoko would be too embarrassed to bear it.
