It had to be Conan and Heiji. They had anesthetized him into unconsciousness, then slipped away in secret.
Professor Agasa immediately thought of his Anesthetic Needle. Had he been anesthetized?
"They actually used my Anesthetic Needle to take me down, those little brats." Professor Agasa gave a wry smile.
But after getting to his feet, Professor Agasa could not help but grow anxious. This had originally been a task Yusaku had entrusted to him: keeping an eye on Conan and Heiji.
Yet Conan and the others had actually run off. If Yusaku came back, how was he supposed to explain this to him?
At his age, he could not even keep watch over two children. It would be embarrassing if word got out.
"Forget it, I'll contact Yusaku. He's the only one who can bring them back." With no other choice, Professor Agasa went to contact Yusaku Kudo.
He did not know where Conan and Heiji had gone. He only hoped Yusaku would know where they were headed and be able to find them.
Even so, Professor Agasa felt terribly ashamed. After all, Yusaku had entrusted the task to him, but he had failed to complete it.
"Hello, Professor Agasa. What is it?"
After receiving Professor Agasa's call, Yusaku Kudo asked him. Then, testing the waters, Yusaku asked, "Did something happen to Conan and the others?"
Professor Agasa would not call him so casually. But if he did call, it was obviously no small matter.
"I'm sorry, Yusaku. Conan and Heiji anesthetized me and ran off. I failed to keep watch over them," Professor Agasa said self-reproachfully.
"You can't be blamed for this, Professor Agasa. Don't worry, I can bring them back," Yusaku Kudo said.
"Then I'll have to trouble you, Yusaku. I just hope nothing unexpected happens," Professor Agasa
