"Could he have developed a drug resistance, which is why it isn't working?" Heiji Hattori looked at Conan and couldn't help saying. Heiji felt that this was probably the only explanation. Conan had already taken two pills, so perhaps this one no longer worked.
Conan's face darkened. Heiji Hattori's earlier analysis did seem possible. He might really have developed a resistance to the drug.
After more than half an hour had passed, Conan still showed no changes at all, making him increasingly certain that Heiji Hattori had guessed correctly.
It was like when he had drunk baijiu before. Back when he had a cold, drinking baijiu had allowed Conan to revert once.
But when he tried experimenting with it again later, Conan discovered that it no longer worked. Even if he deliberately caught a severe cold and drank baijiu, nothing happened.
Now, even the medicine no longer worked. He must have developed a drug resistance. Conan wore a grim, silent expression.
"What do we do now?"
Conan asked Heiji Hattori and the others in despair. Even the medicine Hyuga Shin had provided was useless.
Did that mean that no medicine would ever work on him again? What was he supposed to do?
Would he have to remain like this forever?
"Don't worry. Besides, this may not necessarily be a bad thing." Yusaku Kudo comforted Conan.
Even if there was no way to change back, at most he would simply have to go through the process of growing up again. Being able to experience childhood once more was something countless people wanted but could never achieve.
