Conan gritted his teeth. Hearing Ran say that they had been together the entire time made his heart ache.

"Besides, can anything he says be trusted? He was trying to kill Ran earlier." Shin looked calmly at Ryoichi Takahashi.

"By the way, why did you attack Ran? She had no grudge against you!" Kogoro Mouri clenched his fists.

If Ryoichi Takahashi had not looked like he was about to die, Kogoro Mouri would have punched him already.

Ryoichi Takahashi remained silent. He had attacked Ran because, when she first arrived and opened the door to the room, she had inadvertently seen his real build and realized that he was not fat.

So Ryoichi Takahashi had intended to kill her before she could react and silence her for good.
