"Ran, I trusted you so much. I never thought you'd be this kind of person, taking advantage of the situation to ruin my innocence."
Ran jolted awake and looked at Shin, who was staring at her with his eyes open. Her cheeks turned scarlet, vivid even in the darkness.
"Y-You're awake?" Ran stammered.
"Yeah. I never expected Ran to sneak a kiss from me. Sigh, my innocence is gone."
Ran looked at Shin shyly. She had only kissed him on the cheek—did he really have to exaggerate so much?
"I... I'm going to sleep." Ran hurriedly grabbed the blanket and covered her head, too embarrassed to look at Shin.
"Ran, won't it get hot under there?"
"..."
Ran did not respond. She was clearly far too embarrassed.
"Come out. I don't mind that you stole a kiss from me anymore. Don't suffocate yourself." Shin patted the blanket.
Ran still did not move. After a long while, perhaps because she really was getting stifled, she poked her head out from under the blanket and asked Shin, "You weren't asleep just now, were you? Were you pretending?"
Shin did not answer. It seemed the airheaded Ran had gotten smarter.
"It's already late. Go to sleep." Shin wrapped an arm around Ran and closed his eyes.
"Y-You, how could you..."
Held in Shin's arms, Ran's body stiffened. The blush that had yet to fade deepened even further.
"What did I do?" Shin asked softly.
Feeling his warm breath by her ear, Ran's mind grew muddled. Her entire body turned red and burned with heat, like a fully cooked shrimp.
Ran lay against Shin's chest. She did not know when she fell asleep, but being in his arms felt truly warm.
The next day, with the sun already high in the sky, Ran finally
