"By the way, did you investigate Hyuga Shin~‖?"
Conan glanced at Hyuga Shin some distance away, then lowered his voice even further and whispered into Heiji Hattori's ear.
After their last meeting, Conan had asked Heiji Hattori to look into Shin. He wondered whether he had found anything by now.
Ai Haibara poked Shin with her finger and said, "They're talking about investigating you."
Even though Conan and Heiji Hattori had lowered their voices, after becoming a ninja and cultivating chakra, Ai Haibara's five senses had become exceptionally sharp. She heard every word clearly.
"Investigate me? I'm a blank slate. What could they possibly find?" Shin said indifferently.
Just as Shin had said.
"I didn't find anything. Even after I asked my father's subordinates to investigate, they couldn't uncover anything useful."
Heiji Hattori's expression grew grave.
If they had found something, Heiji Hattori would not have looked so serious. But the less they found, the more it suggested that things were far from simple.
Hearing that Heiji Hattori had found nothing, Conan felt somewhat disappointed, though he had been mentally prepared for it.
"But I won't give up." Heiji Hattori glanced at Shin, a faint anger flickering in his eyes.
"He looks pretty angry at you. Did you provoke him?" Akako Koizumi asked Shin after glancing at Heiji Hattori.
"Probably because I shook hands with Kazuha and made him jealous." Shin said with a faint smile.
Conan and Heiji Hattori were both terribly jealous types.
But when Shin brought that up, Ai Haibara and Akako Koizumi did not look kindly on him either.
