Heiji Hattori and Shinichi Kudo were like this—despite not having known each other for long, they had become very close friends.
"By the way, this is pretty close to Hyuga Shin's house, right?" Heiji Hattori asked.
"Yeah, it's not far from my house."

"Conan, Hyuga Shin doesn't seem like a bad person to me," Professor Agasa said.
"That's because you haven't seen him doing bad things, Professor. He's a very dangerous guy. I feel like he's even more dangerous than the Black Organization."
Conan was completely serious. He genuinely believed that Hyuga Shin was even more dangerous than the Black Organization. Hyuga Shin might even be a member of the Black Organization.

"Hey, do you not want me staying in Tokyo or something?" Heiji Hattori was a little displeased, feeling as though Shinichi Kudo was trying to drive him away.
"I was just asking." Conan did not mean anything else by it. He merely wanted to know when Heiji Hattori planned to leave.
"I'm staying here for a while longer. I've already applied for leave from school," Heiji Hattori said.
"Why?"
