The Black Organization already knew his identity, so Conan did not want to go to Ran Mouri's house. What if he dragged Ran into this?
Conan planned to discuss some countermeasures with Heiji Hattori first.
"Ran, I'll take you home first," Chen said to Ran.
"Wait, I'm coming with you too," Kazuha Toyama called out to Chen and Ran.
Heiji Hattori opened his mouth when he saw that, but in the end, he lowered his head and said nothing. Shizuka Hattori shook her head at the sight as well.
Kazuha Toyama felt especially awkward staying here, which was why she wanted to leave with Chen and Ran instead of letting the awkwardness continue.
Right now, Kazuha Toyama truly had no idea what she could say to Heiji Hattori.
After leaving the hospital, Chen naturally drove, while Ran and Kazuha Toyama sat in the back. Kazuha Toyama looked miserable, her face full of worry.
"Kazuha, Heiji Hattori must be having a hard time too. Aren't you going to comfort him?" Ran asked Kazuha.
"Comfort him? How am I supposed to comfort him?" Kazuha Toyama shook her head. How was she supposed to comfort Heiji Hattori? Besides, she was upset herself right now.
"Wouldn't it have been better to just be a high school student? Why did he have to become a detective and get himself involved in all this?"
Kazuha Toyama complained bitterly.
"Besides, if something like that happened to Shinichi Kudo, how would you feel?" Kazuha Toyama's expression was extremely complicated.
Ran froze for a moment before saying, "Shinichi and I are just friends."
After saying that, Ran glanced at Chen in the front before continuing, "Your relationship with Heiji Hattori is different."
"How is it different? We're just childhood friends too. What else do you think our relationship is?"
