If they kept courting death like this, one day they might actually get themselves killed.
"Let's go. We should leave first." Chen took Ran Mouri and Ai Haibara by the hand and headed outside.
"Why aren't you holding my hand?" Sonoko Suzuki pouted, then immediately followed after them.
Before long, a blare of police sirens rang out, and officers arrived at the scene and promptly began evacuating the crowd.
"Huh? Isn't that Sister Miwako Sato over there?" Ran spotted Miwako Sato at once as she directed the evacuation.
"Ran, your eyesight is really good. You can see her from all the way over here," Chen said involuntarily.
They were quite far from where Miwako was, yet Ran could still see her clearly from such a distance.
"Should we go over and ask what happened?"
Sonoko was terribly curious and wanted to find out exactly what had happened.
"Better not. We shouldn't disturb Sister Miwako while she's working. Sonoko, don't be so nosy," Ran told her.
"Miwako must have seen us."
Chen looked at Miwako as she walked toward them.
That was right. While evacuating the crowd earlier, Miwako had spotted Chen and the others at a glance.
"Chen, you're here too," Miwako said as she approached.
"Sister Miwako, what exactly happened? It looks like quite a big operation," Sonoko asked curiously.
Sonoko loved gossip, and her face plainly said that she desperately wanted to know.
"It can be considered a terrorist attack."
Miwako explained the reason as well. It could be considered an act of revenge.
This had been carried out by an organization. Previously, when the police arrested its leader, he had been shot dead. Now they were seeking revenge.
They had even sent a message directly to the police before the explosion, with no intention of concealing anything.
