A black-haired boy sat by the river, watching the fish swim back and forth in the water.
Though they were within arm's reach, he couldn't simply scoop them up. He had to fish them out one at a time.
And the fish he caught had to be released, so he could use them again.
The black-haired boy looked at the virtual screen in front of him.
He was two fish short of the "Catch One Hundred Fish" achievement.
The fish gathered around the hooks had already been caught by him several times each.
"Come on, you fish brothers, take the bait. Once I complete my achievement, I'll let you go." Su Yu watched the fish in the river and muttered to himself.
As soon as he finished speaking,
two fish bit down on the hooks.
Su Yu's eyes lit up, and he flung both fish behind him.
"Congratulations, Host. You have completed the 'Catch One Hundred Fish' achievement. One draw chance added."
Su Yu quickly unhooked the two fish and tossed them back into the river, then pulled in the fishing net he'd set there.
Without that net, it might have taken him much longer to complete the achievement.
As he watched all the fish swim away,
a smile appeared on Su Yu's face.
He had transmigrated to this world a month ago, and every day since, he had been working hard to complete achievements.
The Level 1 Ability Extraction System had ten achievements. Completing an achievement earned him one draw.

"The Genin exam is coming up soon. But your situation is a little special. Lord Hokage told me you could take more time to prepare," Iruka said gently.
"That won't be necessary, Iruka-sensei. I want to take the Genin exam with everyone else." Su Yu shook his head.
"All right, then. Do your best. Even if you don't pass the first exam, you'll still have another chance." Iruka encouraged Su Yu.
"Thank you, Iruka-sensei. I'll head to the classroom now." Su Yu bowed again and left.
Iruka watched Su Yu's departing figure, feeling sorry for him.
Su Yu entered the classroom through the back door.

A student whose parents had passed away, and who hadn't been to school for a month, was bound to draw attention when he suddenly returned.
"Su Yu, are you all right?" Haruno Sakura came over and asked.

"Su Yu, I heard..."
Naruto Uzumaki walked over, about to ask how Su Yu was doing, but Haruno Sakura glared him away.
