History

Early life and Konoha Academy

Su Yu returned to Konoha Ninja Academy after a month away following his parents’ deaths. A transmigrator focused on becoming stronger, he completed ten system achievements and used the resulting draws to obtain Genin-level chakra, Uzumaki and Uchiha bloodlines, and several foundational techniques. His first system mission required him to become a Konoha Genin within one month or defect from the village. 1

Seeking faster growth than Konoha could offer, Su Yu approached Yakushi Kabuto and declared his intention to follow Orochimaru. Kabuto agreed to keep him undercover in Konoha until he was stronger, supplying taijutsu and Eight Inner Gates training methods. 2

After passing the Genin examination, Su Yu followed Naruto when he stole the Scroll of Sealing and found the Flying Thunder God formula within it. He and Naruto then defeated Mizuki: Su Yu restrained the Chunin with Shadow Possession while Naruto overwhelmed him with Multi Shadow Clone Technique. 3 4

Anbu training and the Hyuga Clan

Su Yu was placed under Uzuki Yugao’s instruction because of his parents’ sacrifice. She taught him specialist taijutsu training and Konoha-Style Kenjutsu, while Su Yu used weighted gear and his Uzumaki recovery to train for extended periods. 5 6

He befriended Hinata Hyuga by offering to train her, then used their sparring to acquire the Hyuga bloodline, Byakugan, Gentle Fist, Rotation, Eight Trigrams Vacuum Palm, and Chakra Sealing Palm. Hyuga Hiashi recognized Su Yu’s command of Gentle Fist and asked him to instruct Hinata and Hanabi. 7 8

Land of Waves mission

During a mission to protect Tazuna, Su Yu sought out Yuki Haku and Zabuza, proposing that they eliminate Gato and gain independence from his control. He trained with Haku, disclosed his Byakugan, and tried to persuade him that he was more than Zabuza’s tool. 9 10

Using heavy fog, Byakugan, and Shadow Clones, Su Yu infiltrated Gato’s building, killed Gato, stole his wealth, and set the building ablaze. The bridge project resumed, and Su Yu continued sparring with Haku before returning to Konoha. 11

Rise through Anbu

Su Yu trained until he reached Chunin-level chakra, then passed an Anbu Chunin assessment by stealing an intelligence scroll from three Anbu Chunin and bypassing Kurenai Yuhi’s genjutsu. Afterward, he studied sealing jutsu, medical ninjutsu, elemental transformations, and Konoha-Style Kenjutsu. 13 14

He mastered Great Fireball Technique, Water Prison Technique, Rasengan, Healing Technique, Chakra Scalpel, and a modified version of Adamantine Sealing Chains. He also trained Haruno Sakura in medical ninjutsu and helped Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura recognize weaknesses in their combat styles. 15 17

The Third Hokage formally placed him in the Anbu Intelligence Division, providing a custom cat mask, armor, arm guards, ninja sword, and cloak. 17

Chunin Exams and departure

During the Chunin Exams, Su Yu upgraded Hell Viewing Technique to S-rank, obtained the Two-Tomoe Sharingan, and secretly monitored Hinata with Mind’s Eye of the Kagura. He rescued Anko Mitarashi after her clash with Orochimaru and promised Karin Uzumaki that he would help her escape her mistreatment. 20 21

He signed a Summoning Contract with Sage Katsuyu, who entrusted him with an Uzumaki sealing scroll. Su Yu was subsequently transferred to the Hokage Direct Squad, giving him greater access to ninjutsu scrolls through Hiashi. 23 24

Su Yu later upgraded to the Three-Tomoe Sharingan. During Konoha’s invasion, he saved Hinata and Hanabi, cooperated with Naruto and Gamabunta against Shukaku, sealed away one of Shukaku’s arms, stole Tsunade’s medical notes from the Hokage Office, killed the imprisoned Mizuki, and left Konoha. 26 27

Land of Waves base and later research

After leaving, Su Yu established himself on property he purchased along the Land of Waves coast. Tsunade sent Uzuki Yugao to remain at his side as both a liaison and observer, while Karin and nine young ninja trainees joined his household. 29 30

He completed the authentic Adamantine Sealing Chains by extracting Shukaku’s chakra, then incorporated it into his Wind Style: Rasenshuriken research. He later took Nine-Tails chakra from Sora without killing him, stabilized a three-tailed Tailed Beast Cloak, and developed Wind Wings and a Wind Barrier. 30 32

Su Yu researched Ice Release by studying Haku’s techniques and eventually succeeded in fusing Wind and Water chakra. He later confronted the Three-Tails, defeated Sound Four members Jirobo and Tayuya, and gained Orochimaru’s recognition. 33 35 37

Personality

Su Yu is intensely ambitious and views strength as essential for survival. From early on, he planned to remain hidden while cultivating power, intending to use Orochimaru, the Sharingan, and eventually the Akatsuki as steps toward his own goals. 2

He is methodical in training and research, frequently using Shadow Clones to maximize his time and experimenting with bloodlines, Tailed Beast chakra, sealing, and chakra-nature fusion. He treats combat as a practical problem, preferring information, control techniques, ambushes, and preparation over direct confrontation. 11 13 32 33
