Uchiha Sasuke was being made to stand at attention under a genjutsu.

Su Yu took the opportunity to leave.

Tayuya and Jirobo watched Uchiha Sasuke, then carried him away.

Su Yu made his way to the end of the corridor and knocked on the door.

Yakushi Kabuto opened the door and smiled at Su Yu.

Su Yu entered the room and saw Orochimaru sitting in a chair. He bowed.

"Lord Orochimaru."

"Su Yu, you've performed very well."

Orochimaru looked at Su Yu with approval.

"I just work a little harder than other people," Su Yu said modestly.

"Hard work doesn't always guarantee a reward. The fact that you developed an S-rank jutsu proves you're talented—at least as talented as Kakashi." Orochimaru sized up Su Yu.

"Kakashi's Sharingan is holding him back," Su Yu said after a moment's hesitation.

"That transplanted Sharingan puts a heavy burden on the body. That's why I never transplanted one." Orochimaru nodded.

Hearing that, Su Yu confirmed a suspicion he'd had for a long time.

Orochimaru did indeed possess a Sharingan, but he hadn't transplanted it because of its side effects.

"Did you come here because you need something from me, Su Yu?" Orochimaru asked, changing the subject.

"I'm very interested in Impure World Reincarnation, especially reincarnated shinobi with Kekkei Genkai. I obtained the technique from Konoha and want to try it out," Su Yu said slowly.

Orochimaru paused in surprise.

Then, after a moment's thought, he looked at Su Yu.

"I have plenty of specimens here. I'll have Yakushi Kabuto take you to choose some."

"Thank you, Lord Orochimaru. By the way, I found the Three-Tails' hiding place. I was wondering whether you're interested in Tailed Beasts," Su Yu asked.

"Where is the Three-Tails hiding?" Orochimaru's eyes lit up.

"On the coast of the Land of Fire. I drew a map showing the exact location." Su Yu took out a scroll and handed it to Orochimaru.

After looking it over, Orochimaru passed it to Yakushi Kabuto.

Kabuto took the scroll and immediately went to arrange for someone to verify the information.

"Su Yu, I've always been interested in Tailed Beasts. You're actually qualified to become a Jinchuriki. If you could master a Tailed Beast's power..."

Orochimaru looked at Su Yu.

"Lord Orochimaru, I know Naruto Uzumaki, Konoha's Jinchuriki. To be honest, I'm not very interested in a Tailed Beast's power. I'd rather rely on the strength I can bring out myself." Su Yu shook his head.

"Rely on your own strength?" Orochimaru smiled but offered no further comment.

"Lord Orochimaru, if you want to capture the Three-Tails, I can help," Su Yu reminded him.

"You've already mastered the Adamantine Sealing Chains?" Orochimaru realized.

"Yes." Su Yu formed a Hand Seal, and golden chains appeared.

"Su Yu, once you've fully mastered the Uzumaki Clan's bloodline, you'll surely surpass Kushina Uzumaki." Orochimaru regarded the four chains and spoke earnestly.

He had once seen Kushina Uzumaki use the Adamantine Sealing Chains. They were powerful enough to restrain a Tailed Beast.

"Thank you for believing in me. I'll keep working hard." Su Yu bowed.

Yakushi Kabuto returned to the room.

"Lord Orochimaru, I've sent people to investigate. We should have news tonight," he reported.

"If the Three-Tails' hiding place is confirmed, don't disturb it yet. Establish a base nearby and observe its movements," Orochimaru told Yakushi Kabuto.

"Yes. Then I'll have Guren take a team there." Kabuto pushed up his glasses.

"Mm. I'll leave everything to you." Orochimaru knew that Kabuto and Guren didn't get along, but he said nothing.

"Come with me, Su Yu," Yakushi Kabuto said.

"Lord Orochimaru, if you need anything, send someone to the Land of Waves to find me. I'll come help right away." Su Yu looked at Orochimaru.

"I'll remember that. With your abilities, I may have a use for you soon. Kabuto, tell Su Yu the locations and details of those bases." Orochimaru smiled.

"Yes, Lord Orochimaru." Kabuto knew that Orochimaru had accepted Su Yu.

The two of them left the room.

Inside Orochimaru's laboratory.

"All the bodies here have specific uses. You can choose your specimens using this list." Yakushi Kabuto handed Su Yu a list with brief notes on each body.

"Senior Yakushi Kabuto, did you write this?" Su Yu asked in surprise.

"Of course. I gathered this information while undercover in various shinobi villages." Kabuto smiled.

"You're impressive, Senior Yakushi Kabuto. By the way, I got these notes from Konoha. I believe they're Lady Tsunade's old medical ninjutsu notes. I've already made a copy, so these are Lady Tsunade's originals." Su Yu took out Tsunade's notes.

Kabuto's face lit up when he heard this, and he accepted the notes without hesitation.

Given his position in Konoha, he naturally couldn't get his hands on these notes. As a medical ninja, he stood to gain a great deal of knowledge from the writings of Tsunade, one of the finest medical ninjas around.

"Su Yu, besides specimens with Kekkei Genkai, what else would you like?" Having accepted the notes, Yakushi Kabuto offered to repay him.

"If possible, I'd like some Hashirama Cells," Su Yu said after thinking it over.

Kabuto paused in surprise.

Then he smiled.

"No problem. Hashirama Cells aren't particularly valuable to Lord Orochimaru."

"Then I'll have to trouble you, Senior Yakushi Kabuto." Su Yu bowed respectfully.

"Choose your specimens. I'll go get you some Hashirama Cells," Kabuto said, turning to leave.

Su Yu looked at the list in his hand and began to read through it.

There were many familiar names on it, including Uchiha Fugaku.

Su Yu was slightly startled when he saw the name.

After all, Uchiha Fugaku's eyes weren't a Three-Tomoe Sharingan. They were a Mangekyō Sharingan.

The reason he hadn't been brought back to life during the later Shinobi World War might have been that Yakushi Kabuto simply didn't know about it.

Uchiha Fugaku's Mangekyō Sharingan may have been taken by Uchiha Itachi. It was even possible that, before he died, Uchiha Fugaku had given all the ocular power of his Mangekyō Sharingan to Uchiha Itachi.

Following the serial numbers, Su Yu found Uchiha Fugaku's body. It was far from intact.

After hesitating for a moment, he took out a scroll he'd kept for a long time. Inside was the body of the Anbu member from Konoha.

When Su Yu left Otogakure.

He had obtained not only Hashirama Cells but also specimens for Impure World Reincarnation.

The unexpected bonus was Uchiha Fugaku's body.

If he made good use of the Mangekyō Sharingan, he could accomplish a lot.

For example, he could control Tailed Beasts or other shinobi.

If that was possible, he wouldn't have to worry about how to upgrade his bloodline.
