Europe's Agent

Just like when he'd selected an agent in Eagle Country, Tang Shizhe sent a Splitter to Europe this time. He valued his life far too much to leave Xia Kingdom without being certain it was safe.

Who knew whether the Three-Tail Gang he'd offended back then had already tracked down his location through the slightest clues? They might simply be waiting for him to leave the country, unable to make a move because of the situation in Xia Kingdom.

So whenever he had to travel far from home, Tang Shizhe preferred to send a Splitter.

On the flight to Dunlun, Tang Er had put on a high-end suit and made a few simple changes to his appearance. He'd added a fake mustache, slicked back his hair, and prepared a pair of black-rimmed glasses.

He'd have to wait until he landed to put on the human-skin mask. Up close, the mask could still give him away!

"Sir, would you like coffee or a soft drink?" A flight attendant of Xia descent quietly approached Tang Shizhe.

That's right. Tang Shizhe had taken control of Tang Er's body. Through the Mental Network, he could remotely sense everything Tang Er sensed and control his body as well.

Before he'd evolved, using this ability had put too much strain on him, so he'd never taken control of a Splitter's body.

But this search for an agent was a good chance for Tang Shizhe to practice. After all, no matter how much his body evolved in the future, it would still be his "body."

When doing anything dangerous, Tang Shizhe still preferred to have a Splitter scout ahead and then take control of its body himself.

"No, thank you. We'll be there soon." Tang Shizhe gave a slight shake of his head.

An hour later, at Dunlun Airport, Tang Shizhe put his luggage in the trunk of the car sent by the hotel to pick him up, then climbed into the back seat.

"Tang Yi, how's it going? Have you found someone suitable?" After finishing his stint controlling Tang Er's body, Tang Shizhe withdrew from it and turned to Tang Yi beside him.

"I found someone. This guy, Victor, fits our recruitment criteria very well." Tang Yi handed him the tablet and pointed to the photo on the screen.

"He got into Cambridge University at sixteen, started his master's at eighteen, and earned his doctorate at twenty. He has degrees in economics, law, and physics."

"At twenty-two, he started his own investment firm. In a year, he grew his assets from a hundred thousand British Pounds to a million."

"At twenty-five, his investments failed, leaving him two million British Pounds in debt."

"Unwilling to give up, he used his family home as collateral to raise funds and start over. Unfortunately, he fell for a scam carefully set up by a fraud ring, and they took his last million British Pounds."

"He's now personally two million British Pounds in debt. He was sentenced to three months in prison for assault after confronting the fraud ring, and no company has been willing to hire him since. He's currently working as a waiter in a bar. On top of that, his mother has recently fallen gravely ill and needs a large sum for surgery!" Tang Yi reported Victor's information in a low voice.

Tang Shizhe figured the man was probably desperate by now. Life was already difficult enough, and then his mother had fallen seriously ill. Without money for surgery, she might not make it through the summer.

"Good. Where there's need, there's supply. If we provide what he desperately wants, we can make him work for us. If he proves disloyal, send a Death Soldier to eliminate him!" Tang Shizhe signaled Tang Yi to send the information to Tang Er.

After returning to the hotel and dropping off his luggage, Tang Er put on the human-skin mask and headed out onto the street.

He hailed a taxi and went straight to the bar where Victor worked.

Once Tang Er had entered the bar, Tang Shizhe took control of his body again. He wanted to see his prospective agent with his own eyes.

He settled into a private booth and tossed a stack of British Pounds onto the table. Several beautiful women immediately approached, their eyes lighting up.

It didn't matter whether they were white or what kind of figures they had. In this world, having money was what mattered most.

These women paid the bar's entrance fee to mingle, all hoping to find a wealthy sucker like him.

If they could get one of these suckers to buy them some jewelry or handbags, they'd earn back their investment and get free food and drinks, too.

"Waiter!" Tang Shizhe put an arm around the two women leaning toward him and beckoned to Victor.

Victor turned at the sound and walked over. He'd seen plenty of rich young men like Tang Shizhe at the bar lately, but when he saw the two women, he still looked envious.

Before his fall, he'd been the one sitting in that seat with beautiful women in his arms!

But after his luck ran out, the women he used to hang out with all pretended not to know him. If he hadn't spent so much at this bar and gotten to know the owner, he wouldn't even have landed this waiter job!

"What can I get for you, sir?" Victor asked respectfully, standing before Tang Shizhe.

"Come sit down. I have something I'd like to discuss with you." Tang Shizhe beckoned him over, then tucked the bills on the table into the two women's cleavage.

"Go order me two bottles of liquor. You can keep the rest." Tang Shizhe patted the women on their bottoms, prompting them to get up and leave.

Seeing they could get paid without having to sleep with him, the two women beamed, blew Tang Shizhe a kiss, and went to the bar to order his drinks.

"What is it?" Victor asked cautiously as he sat across from Tang Shizhe. He had no idea why this generous Asian man wanted to talk to him.

"Victor. Born in 1980. Your first family address..." Tang Shizhe rattled off Victor's personal details in one breath.

"How do you know that? Who are you?" Victor warily sprang to his feet, ready to run at the first sign of trouble.

"I'm here to help you." Tang Shizhe gave him what he considered a kindly smile.

"Come on, sit down!" Tang Shizhe pressed a hand downward. Victor sat back down, still unconvinced.

"As I understand it, you're two million British Pounds in debt. Your mother is seriously ill, and you've sold your family home and car. Am I right?" Tang Shizhe crossed his legs and asked.

"That's right. What do you want? To mock me?" Victor gave a bitter smile.

"No! What if I said I was willing to pay your mother's medical expenses and help you clear all your debts? What would you be willing to do for me?" A mysterious smile tugged at Tang Shizhe's lips as he asked Victor.

"I—I'd sell you my life! As long as you don't make me traffic drugs or carry out a terrorist attack!" Victor gritted his teeth.

"Good. I like people who speak plainly! Here's my room number. Come to my room this afternoon, and I'll give you what you need." Tang Shizhe handed Victor the key card, then turned to leave.

"Those two drinks are on me. Take your time." Tang Shizhe waved and pushed open the bar door.
