Playing the Pig to Eat the Tiger

"What's this? Our model student, the teachers' prized pupil, Yan the Goddess to all her classmates, and you're late today?"

"That's not like you." A girl with light blue hair past her shoulders, faint smoky eye makeup, and a black leather outfit walked over from the side.

"Hmph, what business is it of yours whether I'm late or not? We have nothing to do with each other!" Yan Yanran snorted coldly. She clearly disliked this girl, since they were not the same kind of people.

"True enough. How could a good student like you possibly be one of the same kind as a bad student like me? Go on in. I'll have a cigarette outside." As she spoke, the girl pulled out a pack of cigarettes, took one out, and lit it with a lighter, casually glancing at Yan Yanran from the corner of her eye.

Yan Yanran frowned as she looked disgustedly at the cigarette in the girl's hand, then turned and headed toward the teaching building.

Once Yan Yanran disappeared from sight, Yin Qi, who was holding the cigarette, immediately let out a sigh of relief. She looked at the still-smoking cigarette in her hand with equal disgust, hurriedly stubbed it out, and tossed it into a nearby trash can.

The truth was, she did not know how to smoke at all. If Yan Yanran had not left, she would have embarrassed herself before long.

She had put in an incredible amount of effort to maintain this image. She could not let Yan Yanran ruin her act.

"Hey, isn't this our classmate Tang, who vanished for two months?" Yin Qi turned around and spotted Tang Shizhe parking his vehicle and locking it up.

"Hey, why did you suddenly decide to come to class?" Wearing an overly familiar expression, Yin Qi walked up to Tang Shizhe and patted his shoulder.

"Come on, let's go to class together. The exam for this course is tomorrow. If you skip the final lesson too, you'll fail." After saying that, Yin Qi grabbed Tang Shizhe by the arm and dragged him toward the teaching building.

When Tang Shizhe and Yin Qi entered the classroom together, they instantly became the focus of the entire class.

It could not be helped. One was the "Prince of Truancy" who had disappeared for two months and enraged the teachers, while the other was their class's bizarre nonconformist. Had these two somehow gotten together?

"Pah, believe it or not. Just don't regret it later!" Yin Qi rolled her pretty eyes and lowered her head to continue taking notes.

Bored out of his mind, Tang Shizhe searched for Yan Yanran's WeChat account using her phone number and added her.

In another classroom in the same teaching building, Yan Yanran, who had been distracted, suddenly felt her phone vibrate.

Curious, she took out her phone and opened WeChat.

The teacher at the podium did not react at all. There was nothing he could do—Yan Yanran ranked first in every required and elective course, and even her physical fitness test scores were nearly perfect. The teachers adored her too much to pick a fight over something as trivial as using her phone.
