Clang, clang, clang—the sounds were incessant.
Ye Guyue felt as if he had fallen into an infinite loop, and Dong'er no longer bothered to hide anything, seemingly venting all the dissatisfaction of the past seven months in this single night.
The morning sun rose slowly, casting its glow into the room.
Ye Guyue opened his eyes slowly, looking at Dong'er, who was already up and standing before the bed, her face radiant.
Bibi Dong held up a dress, swaying it gently in front of Ye Guyue:
"Husband, you lost, and your robes were torn to shreds last night. A bet is a bet, you know."
Ye Guyue's face flushed with anger. He propped himself up, wanting to sit, but felt a wave of soreness in his waist and abdomen, forcing him to lean against the headboard and glare at her.
"It was clearly you who cheated! Using spider silk to bind me and then poisoning me—that doesn't count at all!"
"There's no helping it, who told you to lose, Husband?" Bibi Dong stuck out her tongue and handed the dress to him. "The rules didn't say I couldn't use my Martial Soul. It was your own oversight, you can't blame me."
Ye Guyue looked at her smug expression, then at the shredded remains of his robes scattered across the floor, and could only sigh helplessly.
It was just putting it on, after all; he couldn't very well stay in the room naked.
When it came to these matters, Bibi Dong truly had a devious mind.
He gritted his teeth and threw off the quilt, preparing to get out of bed.
The moment his feet touched the floor, his legs went weak and uncontrollable, and he tipped forward, nearly collapsing to the ground.
"Slow down, Husband, be careful not to fall!"
Bibi Dong hurriedly reached out to support his waist, helping him back onto the bed.
Ye Guyue rolled his eyes at her and said irritably:
"And who is to blame for that! Tossing me about all night, my legs are jelly now."
"Alright, alright, it's all my fault." Bibi Dong admitted her mistake obediently, her fingertips gently tapping his brow as a wisp of black soul power surged in, neutralizing the toxins remaining in his body.
As the toxins dissipated, Ye Guyue finally regained his strength.
He took the white plain dress from Bibi Dong's hands, turned his back to her, and began to dress with extremely stiff movements.
The cool fabric pressed against his skin, making him feel entirely uncomfortable.
It was his second time wearing a dress, and as he raised his hands to adjust the hem, his movements were clumsy and awkward, his cheeks flushed all the way to his ears.
The white dress clung to his slender frame, the hem falling to his ankles and revealing a sliver of pale, translucent skin.
His white hair draped over his shoulders, contrasting with the stark white of the dress; his originally cold and ethereal temperament now carried a touch of fragile, delicate beauty.
Bibi Dong stared, mesmerized. She couldn't help but lean in, wrapping her arms around his waist from behind and whispering into his ear:
"Husband looks so beautiful in a dress, more beautiful than any woman I have ever seen."
Ye Guyue's body stiffened, and he shoved her away, shamed and angry:
"Don't talk nonsense!"
Bibi Dong chuckled: "Yes, yes, Dong'er won't talk nonsense. As long as Husband is happy."
Since she had already succeeded and was now carrying her husband's child, this was undoubtedly the most important event of her life.
She wondered if it would be a boy or a girl.
"Husband, can you satisfy Dong'er in the future?"
Ye Guyue was puzzled: "Satisfy what? Don't I satisfy you every single day?"
When had he ever fallen short?
He was essentially the one always satisfying Bibi Dong.
Bibi Dong felt a bit guilty:
"It's just... Husband, could you change into different dresses every so often? I want to see you in red, purple, blue..."
"Stop, stop, stop!"
Ye Guyue interrupted her immediately, feeling completely overwhelmed.
"We can discuss your little requests later."
"Can't we do it now?" Bibi Dong asked, confused.
"Not now. I've already put this one on, what more do you want from me?" Ye Guyue reached out and pinched Bibi Dong's cheek. "Be obedient, be good."
"Fine, I'll listen to you." Bibi Dong compromised.
"Then, Husband, why do you think Yu Xiaogang's limbs recovered?"
Bibi Dong was extremely curious about Yu Xiaogang's recovery and his breakthrough to the rank of Soul Ancestor.
To heal his limbs without using a Soul Bone was simply inconceivable.
If such a method truly existed on the continent, it should have spread long ago.
Ye Guyue replied: "I suspect it must be because he received a divine inheritance."
In truth, Ye Guyue had many thoughts on the matter, but this was the only one that seemed remotely reasonable.
"A divine inheritance?" Bibi Dong was stunned. "How could a piece of trash like him possibly obtain a divine inheritance?"
"Aside from that method, I can't think of any other explanation. Yu Yuanzhen wouldn't be willing to part with four spirit bones just to save him."
Ye Guyue pondered for a moment, then added in Yu Xiaogang's effeminate voice, "Perhaps Yu Xiaogang sacrificed something of his own. In any case, there is no such thing as a free lunch in this world."
A free lunch did not exist.
"My husband makes a valid point."
Bibi Dong suddenly pressed her legs tightly together, her fingers twitching as if wanting to reach downward, but she restrained herself, looking at Ye Guyue with hazy eyes.
"Husband..."
Ye Guyue paused and took a few steps back. "Dong'er, what are you doing?"
"Husband, Dong'er is lonely. Let's do it one more time. It's only morning, after all; it won't be too late to go to Martial Soul Hall afterward." Bibi Dong licked her red lips and immediately lunged forward.
"Dong'er, no. Your husband has important matters to attend to."
"Don't..."
A watermelon fork-stick, splat, juices splattered everywhere.
After the clouds and rain had settled, lasting until nearly noon, Ye Guyue finally left the bridal chamber.
Walking in front, Ye Guyue's cheeks were flushed, and he looked extremely displeased.
"Husband, wait for Dong'er."
Bibi Dong had just grabbed Ye Guyue's palm when he shook her off.
Bibi Dong thought to herself, Oh no, I haven't actually made my husband angry, have I?
The two chased after one another until they arrived at Martial Soul Hall.
As luck would have it, Mighty Lion Douluo, Guangling Douluo, and Azure Luan Douluo happened to be passing by.
Seeing Ye Guyue in a simple white dress, looking as beautiful as a celestial being, the three men's eyes lit up.
"So this is what Guyue looks like in a dress?"
"Too beautiful."
"Are the two of them having a spat?"
The three watched Ye Guyue's look of shame and indignation, and Bibi Dong's frantic attempts to apologize.
This scene was a rare sight indeed.
Guangling Douluo raised his arm and waved, shouting, "Little Yueyue, come here and let us three old fellows have a look."
Hearing Guangling Douluo's voice, Ye Guyue lowered his head and walked over without a word.
"Why is Little Yueyue being shy? Doesn't this suit you perfectly?" Guangling Douluo said with a laugh.
Ye Guyue clutched the hem of his dress, dissatisfied: "It doesn't suit me at all."
Bibi Dong hurriedly hugged Ye Guyue from behind, her tone aggrieved but clearly admitting her fault: "Don't be like this, Husband. Dong'er was wrong; I won't act on my own initiative ever again."
Mighty Lion Douluo asked earnestly:
"Holy Maiden, what happened between you two?"
Weren't the couple getting along quite well?
What had Bibi Dong done to make Guyue angry?
"It's just... I made my husband angry over some trivial matters. He hasn't spoken to me the whole way here. I'm afraid my husband doesn't want me anymore." Bibi Dong's eyes welled with tears, looking pitiful.
She could not bring herself to say what that matter was.
Ye Guyue grabbed Bibi Dong's wrist, impatient:
"When did I ever say I didn't want you? You're just talking nonsense."
"Husband, I was wrong, okay? Please don't be angry anymore. Next time, I definitely won't do it again. I'll be gentler for sure." Bibi Dong's eyes were red-rimmed as she promised with great sincerity.
That was as good as saying nothing at all.
Just as Ye Guyue was about to speak, the voice of Golden Crocodile Douluo came from afar.
"Eh? Third, Fourth, Fifth, you three are all here?"
The three were surprised to see Golden Crocodile Douluo rushing over in such excitement; they had never seen him this agitated before.
"Since you three just returned from outside, let me tell you some good news: the Holy Maiden is pregnant."
