Ye Qingshuang was a member of the Ye Clan, whose Nine-Heart Begonia martial soul was burdened by a hereditary curse. When Su Mo offered the possibility of breaking that curse, the Ye Clan accepted vassal status under Martial Soul Hall. Ye Qingshuang then traveled with Su Mo and Bibi Dong to Martial Soul City. 55

Qian Xunji provided Su Mo with two Aromatic Silk Beauty immortal herbs. Su Mo gave one to Ye Qingshuang and guarded her while she refined it. The herb caused her martial soul to evolve, freeing her from the Nine-Heart Begonia curse. 57 58
