The emperor showed great goodwill towards Yun Jingheng and promised him a "bright" future.

The Abyssal Sage King handed over another cup of "Abyssal Essence".

This time, Yun Jingheng did not refuse directly, but stared at the deep purple liquid as if he was pondering.

The sage king seemed quite pleased and added, "This will be helpful to you in the future."

The Abyssal Sage King spoke very softly, as if he were talking about something extremely ordinary.

He pushed the cup of deep purple liquid towards Yun Jingheng again. The faint light patterns on the stone table reflected on the rim of the cup, like a circle of extremely thin and cold fire.

"The Abyssal Energy you absorbed in the Douluo Continent was too shallow; that was just impurities that escaped. The real treasures are here."

He gestured with his chin towards the cup of liquid, saying, "This is the essence condensed from the first layer of origin. Drinking it will only help your body adapt to this place, which will benefit your journey ahead."

Yun Jingheng looked at the drink but didn't touch it.

He raised his eyes, his tone indifferent, and said, "Aren't you afraid that after I finish drinking, I'll want to kill you even more?"

The wise ruler smiled.

He shook his head and said, "Why would you kill me? I didn't cause you any losses. Those petty squabbles in the Far North are nothing to me."

"Your parents are still alive, your friends are still alive, and I haven't really lifted a finger from beginning to end. You should be able to see that."

He paused, picked up another glass, and took a very small sip. "If I wanted you dead, you wouldn't have the chance to sit in front of me and decide whether to drink this or not."

Yun Jingheng nodded slightly; he knew the Holy Emperor was telling the truth.

At least on the surface, after several battles in the Far North, the Abyssal Sage King had indeed not personally descended.

Looking back now, none of those times were the Abyss's full power.

He was fishing; from the moment he refined the first Abyssal Energy, he had already become that fish.

Now, the threads have been almost completely drawn back, and he has been invited to sit before this stone table, opposite whom sits the person the Abyss least wants to see.

And this person was smiling as he offered him a drink of "something good."

"You said you'd give me a place," Yun Jingheng finally spoke.

He leaned back, his tone casual. "What kind of seat?"

The emperor's smile deepened when he saw that the man had finally relented.

He put down his cup and said, "Be the one who is alone. Be the other half of this Abyss. You have something I don't have: Moonlight, the Lunar Yin, and something else."

"I am the master of the Abyss, but this place has been here for too long and will never change. It makes way for you as you enter. Why? Because it needs someone like you."

He paused, as if considering his options, or perhaps waiting for Yun Jingheng's reaction.

Yun Jingheng listened and slowly hummed in agreement.

He asked, "Aren't you afraid I'll turn around and bite you?"

The sage chuckled softly, "You wouldn't. I've been observing you for a long time. You always leave yourself an out. To outsiders, the Abyss is something untouchable. If you were worried about that, you wouldn't have come."

"You're a smart person, but you're very tired."

Yun Jingheng remained silent for a moment, then smiled softly.

He picked up the cup, but stopped just as he brought it to his lips.

The ring exploded.

Yun Jingheng stood up almost the instant the tremor struck.

He looked up, a cold glint in his eyes.

"What happens?"

He looked at the Abyssal Sage King, his tone wary, "What do you mean?"

The smile on the Abyssal Sage King's face faded.

He didn't get up, but only turned his head slightly, as if listening.

A moment later, he frowned and said, "It must have been something humans threw into my territory that exploded."

He looked at Yun Jingheng: "Is it your ring?"

"A ring? What ring?" Yun Jingheng was both angry and furious.

"My ring has always been here! I went and hid from all of humanity to come here and find you, and you doubt me?!"

The Abyssal Sage King remained silent, his gaze fixed on his left hand.

Yun Jingheng, in his anger, followed his gaze.

He raised his left hand, his expression instantly turning bewildered.

He looked behind him, seemingly searching for his ring.

The Holy King looked a little embarrassed. He had originally planned to take him along to show his thoughtfulness.

But then this new mode suddenly appeared, and he was completely caught off guard.

Yun Jingheng's ring is indeed missing; he is indeed a suspect in the tremor just now.

But his ring dropped on the 17th floor, and the explosion happened on the 99th floor. Could the ring teleport him?

Are you kidding me?

After a surge of Divine Power confirmed that the ring was still in its original position, the Holy Lord spoke.

"Ahem... I found your ring. It's on the 17th floor. I'm going to the 99th floor to deal with it now, and I'll bring it back to you when I come back."

"Please have a seat. We'll continue our conversation when I return."

Yun Jingheng forcibly suppressed his complicated emotions and nodded.

Seeing his expression, the sage dispelled his doubts, turned around, and disappeared in the blink of an eye, as if swept into the black mist by the wind.

Yun Jingheng did not sit down.

He stood still, his divine sense spreading out silently like mercury.

He "watched" the holy ruler walk away.

See how the black mist passes through the dimensional rift between the first and second layers and continues downward.

Only after confirming that he was far enough away did Yun Jingheng slowly exhale.

He raised his left hand.

The inconspicuous Storage Soul Tool on his wrist seemed to be awakened by something, and it glowed very faintly.

He took out a bomb from inside; it was small, like a worn-out gray-white metal box, but it was extremely heavy.

Yun Jingheng gently placed it on the ground without making a sound.

Like placing down a long-overdue return gift, he straightened up and looked at the Heaven Saint Rift Abyss Halberd.

It remained there, its blue-purple veins glowing very, very slowly.

It's like breathing, like watching him.

Yun Jingheng walked over. The first step had no effect. The second step saw the light on the halberd suddenly intensify. The third step caused the entire halberd to light up as if it had been blown by the wind.

Yun Jingheng reached out and placed his five fingers on the halberd shaft.

It's very cold.

He didn't squeeze immediately, he just gave it a quick squeeze.

The Heaven Saint Rift Abyss Halberd trembled very slightly.

Yun Jingheng closed his eyes, held his breath, and then pulled with one hand.

There was no cataclysmic upheaval as imagined, nor did there be any backlash from hundreds of purple lights.

It was released with a gentle touch, like a sword that had been stuck in the mud for too long, finally being pulled out of the ground.

Blue-purple light flowed down the halberd to his hand, then up his arm.

Yun Jingheng didn't stop it; he could sense that the halberd was very pleased.

It was really cheering.

"You like me?" Yun Jingheng said softly.

Then, he flipped his right hand and Heaven Saint Rift Abyss Halberd horizontally behind him.

He raised his left hand and reached into the Storage Soul Tool again.

This time, he took out a lump of meat.

It is about the size of a fist, slightly undulating, dark red all over, with a very faint, thin layer of moon white on its surface.

It remained motionless in his palm. Yun Jingheng looked down at it; the piece of flesh was filled with his own scent.

It was something he created using biological cloning technology. He wasn't proficient in the technology, but that didn't stop him from making it indistinguishable from the real thing.

He squatted down and placed the piece of meat next to the bomb. As soon as it landed, the layer of moon-white flesh seemed to come alive and spread outwards.

This piece of flesh will soon be recognized as him by the first layer of the Abyss; its scent is exactly the same as his.

Once the bomb explodes, chaos will ensue here. If the Holy Emperor returns, he will only find his "remnant breath" still in the same spot.

He straightened up, Yun Jingheng looked at them, then suddenly said very softly, "Stay a little longer for me." Then he turned around.

The moonlight shone from beneath his feet, and he smiled.

"Sorry, I really did come here to bite you."

Then, he detonated it.

A beam of white light shot up, illuminating the entire first floor.

The sky collapsed and the earth cracked.

For the first time in the entire Abyss, his name was clearly heard.
