Jinzo - Psychic Shockwave.
Jinzo.
As a physical card, it was restricted mere months after its release, its power undeniable.
"While this card is in the Monster Zone, neither player can activate the effects of Trap Cards on the field, and the effects of Trap Cards on the field are negated."
Even the "nerfed" physical card version held significant status in the trap-heavy meta of that era, due to its field-wide trap negation.
More importantly, it had no summoning conditions.
"This card cannot be Normal Summoned."
"This card cannot be Special Summoned."
Such common summoning restrictions were notably absent from this card. This meant that once it entered the Graveyard, it could be summoned through other means—exactly as Yu Ming was doing now.
Now, if his activated Equip Spell went through, this near-soul card monster of his opponent's would establish a powerful lock for him.
However...
"Don't you dare!"
Before the projected phantom from the nameplate could materialize, a chain flew through the air, completely ensnaring it.
At the other end, connected to the chain, a massive tombstone emerged.
"So the face-down card was indeed a trap that could summon Jinzo."
As Yu Ming sighed, Ogorou Daimon simply shouted:
"Continuous Trap – 'Call of the Haunted'!"
Coming from behind, the already materialized tombstone shattered the nameplate's glow.
"I Special Summon 'Jinzo - Psychic Shockwave' to my field!"
Beneath the swirling black mist, a tall figure clawed its way out of the shifting earth, standing like a doppelganger on the field.
Jinzo - Psychic Shockwave (LV6) Attribute/DARK Type/Machine ATK/2400 DEF/1500
"This way, your plan has failed," Ogorou Daimon declared proudly.
"Although it doesn't quite align with my original plan, my ace monster is now on the field."
"Yes, it's finally on the field," Yu Ming agreed.
"What?"
Meeting Ogorou Daimon's seemingly surprised gaze, Yu Ming slapped a third card onto his Duel Disk.
As mist swirled, a grotesque figure slowly emerged.
"I summon 'Mist Demon'."
Mist Demon (LV5) Attribute/DARK Type/Fiend ATK/2400 DEF/0
"A Level 5 monster doesn't require a tribute..."
"This card can be Normal Summoned without Tributes, but as a cost, it will be destroyed at the end of my turn, and I will take 1000 points of damage."
Upon hearing this, Ogorou Daimon's tightly furrowed brows relaxed.
"Don't forget, your Life Points are already low."
"But what does that matter?"
The moment those words left his mouth, Yu Ming suddenly felt a surge of clarity.
Simply put, it felt amazing!
He never thought he'd have the chance to say something like that.
"But what can you even do..."
"Oh, oh!"
Ogorou Daimon abruptly snapped awake, only to hear a series of strange, pained howls.
"Jinzo?!"
"Guh..."
The Jinzo, identical to him, had lost its inherent arrogance, now merely clutching itself, incredibly fragile.
"What's going on?"
He couldn't help but look across the field, seeing a card that had been flipped face-up. On the card's illustration, a seemingly tormented demon writhed in identical agony.
"Equip Spell – 'Fall'."
Yu Ming said coldly.
"When a 'Demon' monster exists on my field, this card can be equipped to an opponent's monster. During each of the opponent's Standby Phases, I take 800 points of damage."
Equipping a card to an opponent just to take damage himself?
Of course not. Not only are there no cards with purely self-detrimental effects for the benefit of others, even if there were, Yu Ming would never put one in his deck.
The reason this card was in his deck was entirely due to its other effect.
"In exchange, I gain control of the equipped monster."
"What?!"
"Oh, oh, oh!!"
Finally, the Jinzo on the front lines seemed to be at its limit.
With a wild, roaring charge, it leaped directly over the central battlefield, landing on Yu Ming's side of the field.
"Now, your monster belongs to me."
"Impossible."
As if only just recovering his senses, Ogorou Daimon couldn't help but speak.
"How can such a card exist?!"
So why are you so agitated?
"Haven't such cards existed for a long time?"
Setting aside "Snatch Steal," another ultimate NTR card that's also an Equip Spell, there were actually cards with similar effects in the DM anime.
"'Change of Heart'."
Yu Ming casually gave an example.
"If I recall correctly, this card's activation effect is even easier, isn't it?"
It doesn't require a Demon on the field, nor does it require losing LP. This card's only condition is to be activated by 'targeting,' much like a mind control spell.
In the anime, two people owned this card: Bakura, and the famous Pharaoh Atem.
So don't listen to people saying Little Yugi plays light-side cards while Pharaoh plays dark-side cards. What kind of light-side person would put Catapult Turtle in their deck?
"No, that's completely wrong!"
After snapping back to reality, Yu Ming only heard Mr. Ogorou Daimon's furious roar.
"Such cards shouldn't exist here… No, you shouldn't have such cards at all. These should be demon cards!"
"Indeed, this card isn't mine."
Yu Ming nodded, admitting this.
"Due to certain reasons, Mr. Graffer hasn't woken up yet. Until then, his Demon deck will be temporarily kept by me."
Hmm, kept…
Cough, cough, cough.
As he said this, Yu Ming himself felt uncomfortable.
How to put it?
It was clearly too embarrassing to just snatch someone else's deck, right?
"How can you use someone else's cards?"
"So, if Mr. Graffer wakes up and is confirmed not to revert to his original state, I will indeed return his deck to him…"
"How can you use someone else's cards so easily! Why do you possess such special power?!"
"Huh?"
So, is this really something to be surprised about?
Suddenly, Yu Ming realized he seemed to be talking past the other person.
He couldn't help but scratch the back of his head, simply staring at the Jinzo—Ogorou Daimon—in front of him.
Now, its face was no longer just simple surprise or the solemnity of facing a crisis, but something more twisted.
"Unforgivable…"
Hatred!
The most primal loathing appeared on the Jinzo's face. Overloaded electrical charges even crackled and popped with dark explosions around its body.
"You are unforgivable!!!"
Staring at the surging black aura, Yu Ming couldn't help but scratch the back of his head again.
After scanning the seemingly sacrificial environment around him, he couldn't help but ask sincerely:
"Are you sick?"
