Luo Feng first distinguishes himself during the martial artist combat assessment by submitting thirty-six monster ears, the highest count among the candidates. He is one of only three recruits admitted early to a major martial arts hall, joining the Limit Martial Arts Hall. 15

A former high-school classmate of Xu Qing and Xu Xin, Luo Feng had long harbored feelings for Xu Xin. His reunion with the siblings at the Alliance Mall begins his relationship with Xu Xin and establishes Xu Qing's teasing, watchful attitude toward him. 16

He joins the Fire Hammer Squad as a novice wilderness hunter. Under the squad's practical instruction, Luo Feng rapidly absorbs combat experience and sheds his rookie status; Xu Qing secretly follows the team for a time, recognizes Luo Feng as a Spirit Controller, and concludes that his growth will be exceptional. 19 22

Personality

Luo Feng is disciplined, determined, and notably self-aware. When outclassed by Xu Qing in sparring, he stops trying to win and instead uses the opportunity to refine the Nine-Fold Thunder Blade. 67
