Countless worlds had their course changed by the sudden appearance of strange spatial vortices.
In a distant, alternate dimension, strange spatial vortices appeared. At once, a group of figures emerged within them.
Shin opened his eyes, his gaze sweeping across the surroundings like a torch. His Rinnegan took in everything. Beside him stood Senju Hashirama, Uchiha Madara, Hyuga Tamamo, Uzumaki Mito, and countless other shinobi.
It seemed that every shinobi who had been near him at the time had been pulled here with him.
They now stood high above the ground. As far as the eye could see, they took in the general layout of the entire world. This was an unknown world, or at least one Shin didn't recognize. It had everything a world should: vast, boundless forests, ranges of rolling mountains, continents, and oceans. They hadn't found any sign of humans yet, though that didn't rule out their existence. After all, the area they could survey was far too small.
He tried using the chakra within him. There was no hindrance, but he couldn't descend. The spatial barrier was still there, and the mysterious vortex behind them was releasing some force to keep them back. In a sense, they hadn't fully arrived in this world.
"Shin... what happened?" Uchiha Madara asked at once, his gaze sweeping around them as well.
Madara wasn't the only one wondering. Everyone else had the same question. It had all happened too quickly and too suddenly; they hadn't had time to react.
Shin had a vague guess. He knew the system had to be behind this, but he didn't know what it was really after. "I'll explain later. Something's happening!"
As he spoke, dark clouds suddenly gathered in the distant sky. Thunderclouds churned, and something terrifying seemed to be roiling within them.
