"But how could you be so strong? A mage shouldn't have that kind of physical strength, and your speed was so fast I couldn't even react," Xing En said.
"Since the beginning, you've kept calling me a mage, but I never admitted that I was one," Uchiha Madara said.
"If you aren't a mage, how could you control two giant lizards with a single spell? Only mages can do something like that. I've seen powerful mages before," Xing En said.
Uchiha Madara thought for a moment before asking, "Are the mages in your world all physically weak?"
"You can tell from the name—mages are a bunch of people who can only lurk around at a distance. A real man should fight with real weapons," Xing En said with a laugh. "But people with magical talent are very rare, and great mages are even fewer, so mages hold very high status now."
"And those large-scale spells of theirs really are useful. In wartime, one person can rival an entire regiment, so it isn't strange that mages have such high status," Xing En said with a laugh.
"Why can't someone with a stronger physique learn magic?" Uchiha Madara asked Xing En.
"Someone like you, for example. The amount of chakra in your body is enormous. If you wanted to, you could absolutely become a very powerful mage," Uchiha Madara said.
"I don't have that kind of talent. Mages are born masters of the elements—they can control certain specific elements. I can't control anything," Xing En said.
"And these are all common-sense questions. Uncle Madara, at your age, how can you not know any of this?" Xing En said.
"So you don't use the chakra within your bodies to control the elements. Instead, you control them through your own perception of the elements.
