But then Uchiha Madara wondered why Xing En had not been affected at all.

"Lost your mind?" Xing En thought for a moment and said, "I didn't feel anything. It's just an ordinary glowing little stone. Though I did sense an extremely evil aura coming from it."

Uchiha Madara considered it. He had seen those things solely because his dream was for harmony and happiness in the ninja world, which was why he had nearly lost his mind.

If Xing En felt nothing at all, then that meant Xing En was someone without any dreams—someone who did not even have a single thing he wanted in his heart.

"What is your dream?" Uchiha Madara looked at Xing En and asked. "Young people should all have lofty ideals and great ambitions, shouldn't they?"

Xing En did not understand why Uchiha Madara was asking him such a question now, but out of trust
