"You really are shadowless, because you don't even need to show yourself. You can just steal things from a distance," Uchiha Madara said. "That's truly impressive. Ordinary thieves don't have skills like yours."
"So you always thought I was all talk and no substance. Now you understand why the name Belaque is so renowned across the Elzeran Continent, right?" Belaque said with a smile.
"Thank you for letting me see that today. It may not be very lethal, but it was truly spectacular," Uchiha Madara said. "So I'll cover today's lodging."
"You wouldn't have any choice even if you didn't want to pay." Belaque waved Uchiha Madara's wallet in her hand. "Your wallet is in my hands now, Uncle."
Uchiha Madara could only say speechlessly, "Fine. From now on, you can handle all the money. I'll just be the one following you around."
"Then let's go downstairs, pay up, and buy some animals," Belaque said with a smile.
After the two went downstairs, they found the owner's family already busy at work in the inn.
"Good morning," Belaque said to the busy family.
"You two guests are up so early," the owner said with a smile. "Travelers like you seem to work even harder than us merchants."
"Everyone has their own hardships." Belaque smiled at the owner. "Once you choose a certain kind of life, you have to endure the suffering that comes with it."
"What a clever little girl," the owner's eldest son said. "To have thoughts like that at such a young age—when she grows up, she'll surely become someone remarkable."
