So no one knew there was a Drake outside this city.
The two of them walked out through the city gates. When the Drake saw them approaching with two animals in tow, it understood at once that they were food being brought for it.
"Eat." Uchiha Madara led the two trembling animals over to the Drake. "These were specially chosen for you—the ones with the most meat."
"These aren't the ones with the most meat." Belaque said to Uchiha Madara. "The animal with the most meat was that fluffy fat one, the one they had us choose from back then."
"Then why didn't you choose that thing when it cost the same?" Uchiha Madara said speechlessly. "Wasn't that just wasting money?"
"No. Didn't you notice how cute those chubby creatures were?" Belaque said with a smile. "How could you bear to treat something so cute as food? You really have no conscience at all."
"What does that have to do with conscience? Why do you think humans stand at the top of the food chain? Isn't it because we eat everything?" Uchiha Madara said.
"But even eating has distinctions. Say you had to choose a meal—would you choose food that looked appetizing, or food that looked like a pile of shit?" Belaque looked at Uchiha Madara and asked.
"Do you even need to ask? Of course I'd choose the appetizing food." Uchiha Madara said helplessly. "Surely you don't want this hero who worked so hard to fly us to Winterfort to eat shit?"
"Of course not. What I mean is that everyone likes cute creatures, so how could anyone bear to eat them? Cute things are meant to be kept as pets," Belaque said.
"All living things are equal," Uchiha Madara said. "Every creature looks the way it does because
