"What difference did that make? The water in Mirror Lake had already been evaporated by me. Even if you didn't die now, you would eventually wither away," Uchiha Madara said.
"Since you already know that this is how I'll end up, then leave. I'd rather die on my own than be killed by someone else," the little boy said.
"If this had happened before, I might have believed you. But now, this old man won't believe a word you say. You learn from your mistakes," Uchiha Madara said.
"I truly can't bear to look at your father's arm. His own child ate him until only an arm was left. As a father, Anxin's heart must have died long ago," Uchiha Madara said.
"I don't care whether you're some kind of monster. For that alone, I'm going to kill you," Uchiha Madara said.
"No, it was Father's choice. It wasn't that I wanted to eat him. I was so hungry, but I had nothing to eat," the little boy said.
"Don't try to fool an old man with such words. I may not have seen it myself, but I can more or less guess what happened," Uchiha Madara said.
Following Uchiha Madara's words, Belaque said, "I saw you inside your little house. There was food in the house, but I suppose none of it suited your appetite, did it?" Belaque said.
"We know a little about monsters, too. You like eating people, and there are two living bodies of flesh right here. Aren't you interested?" Belaque asked with a smile.
The little boy looked at Uchiha Madara and Belaque, then suddenly dropped to his knees.
"I beg you, spare me just this once. For two years, aside from animals, I've never eaten a human. Everyone makes mistakes. Don't I deserve forgiveness?"
