"I'm a little curious what kind of creature this is. It can actually imitate the voice of a human woman," Belaque said.
"Isn't there something called a Ventriloquist Snake on your Elzeran Continent? That can imitate human speech too. The two of us have seen one before," Uchiha Madara said.
"That creature couldn't adapt to the environment here. Forget Ventriloquist Snakes—even the two of us would find it difficult to survive in this environment," Belaque said.
"Then you're underestimating me. Aren't I doing just fine here?" Uchiha Madara said.
"How long have you been here? You can live here for one day or two, but can you live here for one year or two?" Belaque said.
"That might be a little difficult. After all, I didn't bring any food. I don't know if I could survive for two years by eating bugs," Uchiha Madara said.
"What if that thing keeps hiding from us? I don't want to sleep the whole night while someone is watching me," Belaque said.
"Neither of us noticed it, yet it noticed us. This thing is quite sensitive," Uchiha Madara said.
"Isn't that obvious? Look at how bright that golden fireball beside you is. If it couldn't notice that, it'd probably be blind," Belaque said.
"Oh, so that's why." Uchiha Madara smiled at Belaque. "I thought that thing's senses were stronger than both of ours. Turns out it was because of my giant fireball. I completely forgot."
As Uchiha Madara spoke, he snapped his fingers, and one of the large fireballs beside him vanished.
The entire cave instantly fell into darkness. It was pitch-black all around them, and they could not see anything.
"You should put your giant fireball back up. I don't like being in the dark. It feels much more comfortable when it's bright,"
