"Is there one in each of the four directions—east, south, west, and north?" Uchiha Madara thought for a moment and said, "Winterfort, where we're headed now, seems to be the northernmost point of your entire Ezerlan Continent, right? So does that mean there's one near Winterfort as well?"
"That's for certain." Belaque said with a smile. "But seeing it won't be easy. You can find it in the Valley of Wailing in the far north, but it's extremely dangerous. I doubt anyone has ever gone there."
"No need. I was only asking about it. If it's such a dangerous place and has nothing to do with me, I don't want to go take a look. I have an important mission to fulfill—I can't just stop to admire the scenery along the road whenever I feel like it." Uchiha Madara said with a smile.
"But sometimes, rest is necessary too." Belaque said with a smile. "I've lived for so many years, yet I've never experienced cold like this. If I don't rest properly, I might never recover from it for the rest of my life."
"Then think about how the people of Winterfort live. Generation after generation, they've had to live in a place like this, yet aren't they doing just fine?" Uchiha Madara said with a smile.
"Maybe they've spent so long in this place that their bodies have undergone changes beyond anything we can imagine. Maybe they're all covered in long fur." Belaque told Uchiha Madara.
"Why not say that after all these years of evolution, the people living in Winterfort have all turned into bears?" Uchiha Madara said speechlessly.
Uchiha Madara was beginning to feel cold as well. Though he had traveled everywhere in his own world, this was truly his first time coming to a place this
