"We should get going," Uchiha Madara said speechlessly as he looked at the two of them. "Let's stop worrying about that Carapace Elephant."
Carter Binda, still being dragged along by Belaque, had regained a bit of his senses. Calming down, he said, "I'd been talking to you the whole time, so I didn't notice. It was obviously a sneak attack. I'm sure you two had already seen that, right?"
"We saw it, we saw it," Uchiha Madara quickly agreed. "In that situation, no one could have avoided it. The way you reacted and handled it was truly impressive."
"Fine, since everyone saw it, let's keep moving," Carter Binda said, smoothing down the hair in front of his forehead.
Uchiha Madara could only helplessly lead Belaque and Carter Binda around the Carapace Elephant and continue forward.
But though the tree might wish for calm, the wind would not stop. Uchiha Madara wanted to bypass the Carapace Elephant, but the Carapace Elephant had other ideas.
The weather was growing colder, and food was becoming scarcer. Now that three such delicious meals had appeared before it, how could it possibly let this chance go?
Seeing the three of them trying to go around it, the Carapace Elephant flapped its wings and flew straight ahead of them.
"I told you! I'm the Eagle of Winter!" Carter Binda shouted, his figure vanishing from the spot in an instant.
With a flash of his blade, Carter Binda landed back on the ground. The Carapace Elephant, which had just taken flight, turned into a block of ice in midair, fell to the ground, and shattered into pieces.
"It froze?" Uchiha Madara looked at Carter Binda and asked, "What kind of move was that? It was just an ordinary slash, wasn't it?"
