Uchiha Madara looked at the snakes ahead. A whole group of them blocked the path of the three men, each one holding its head high, half its body raised upright as it flicked its tongue.

Uchiha Madara noticed that the tongues flicking from the mouths of these White Snakes were white as well.

"The ones behind us have caught up too," Helunaixing reminded Uchiha Madara and Dales Yi.

"The snakes on your Elzeran Continent are really interesting," Uchiha Madara said.

"Snakes are not naturally social creatures, yet they have gathered together for the three of us and become social creatures," Uchiha Madara said.

The snakes surrounded the three of them, but made no other move. They merely flicked their tongues and stared at them with wide eyes.

"So many snakes." Helunaixing said greedily, "Do you know how much these would be worth? And every one of them is mutated—their value might be even higher."

"Then I'll give all these snakes to you." Uchiha Madara said to Helunaixing with a smile. "Does that mean we no longer need to look for the Seven-Colored Butterfly? I think these White Snakes must be worth far more than a Seven-Colored Butterfly."

"I'm not doing this purely for money," Helunaixing said.

"Though I may be this old, I still have loftier pursuits. How could something as vulgar as money possibly blind my eyes?" Helunaixing said.

"I think you're a little strange. You haven't been willing to tell the truth since we started," Uchiha Madara said.

"You weren't looking for the Seven-Colored Butterfly because of money at all, were you?" Uchiha Madara asked Helunaixing with a smile.

"Not for money, no—but it's close enough, because I really am short on money," Helunaixing said.
