"It's fine. We still have plenty left anyway, and there happens to be something in the Demon Codex that's pretty similar to these White Snakes," Dales Yi said.
"Since they're of the same kind, I think they should have a common language," Helunaixing said, tearing a page from the Demon Codex.
As the page slowly vanished, a massive black snake appeared before Uchiha Madara and Helunaixing.
Uchiha Madara estimated that the snake was as long as a large tree. It had no eyes on its head, and he had no idea what organ it used to observe its surroundings.
"What is that?" Helunaixing asked Dales Yi in astonishment.
"The book calls it a Puppet Snake," Dales Yi said.
"It's actually my first time summoning one too, but judging by its size, it should be able to have a peaceful talk with these snakes," Dales Yi said.
"Not bad," Helunaixing said to Dales Yi with a smile.
"Of course. Who do you think I am?" Dales Yi said smugly. "I'm the pride of all necromancers."
"You." Dales Yi pointed at the snake before him. "Go talk to them. Tell them we're passing through here today. If they block our way, then there's only one outcome for them: death."
"Can it understand what you're saying?" Helunaixing asked speechlessly, watching Dales Yi put on such a convincing act.
"It's something I summoned. If it can't understand me, that'd be ridiculous," Dales Yi said.
"Even if it really can understand you, this huge snake isn't the same species as those White Snakes. Can they even communicate properly?" Uchiha Madara asked helplessly.
Uchiha Madara watched the black snake Dales Yi had summoned slowly slither forward, as though it had truly understood Dales Yi's words.
