"You're helping us so tirelessly—aren't you afraid something might go wrong?" Ci Enyiwu asked with a smile.
"It's fine." Zhe Lifenfang said to Ci Enyiwu, "I may have started the fire, but I checked the area. No one noticed at all."
"No one will know I did it, so don't worry. I'll be fine," Zhe Lifenfang said.
"Is that so?" Ci Enyiwu said to Zhe Lifenfang with a smile. "Then feel around your waist. Isn't something missing?"
After hearing Ci Enyiwu's words, Zhe Lifenfang reached down to check, and panic immediately crossed his face.
"My waist token seems to be gone!" Zhe Lifenfang said nervously. "I must have been too tense when I started the fire and dropped it there."
"So now that you've helped us, you'll be the one in trouble," Ci Enyiwu said.
Zhe Lifenfang said nothing and fell into deep thought.
"But you still have one chance," Ci Enyiwu said with a smile. "You can take the two of us to see the City Lord and tell him that we tried to escape amid the chaos."

"No!" Zhe Lifenfang refused outright.
"I would never do something like that," Zhe Lifenfang said.
"If you don't do it, what will happen to you? You could be killed," Ci Enyiwu said with a smile.
"Still no." Zhe Lifenfang refused directly.
"If Father finds out that I did such a thing, then even if I make it home, he'll beat me to death," Zhe Lifenfang said.
"That does make things difficult." Ci Enyiwu smiled. "Thank you for saving us."
"You two need to leave now, or it'll be too late. Once he comes to his senses and goes looking
