The Vanishing Uchiha

The epoch-making night came to an end.

By the time the other major powers reacted, they suddenly discovered that Konoha's strength had suffered severe losses overnight.

Half of the Uchiha Clan had left Konoha. More importantly, both Uchiha Madara and Uchiha Shin had left as well.

Of the Three Gods, two had departed in a single night.

Of course, Konoha publicly declared that Uchiha Madara had died at the hands of Senju Hashirama in the battle that came to be known as the "Battle of the Valley of the End."

As for Uchiha Shin, there was no news at all. He seemed to have vanished under mysterious circumstances, and Konoha was deliberately evasive on the matter, leaving the other ninja villages unable to make sense of it.

Regardless, Konoha's drastic loss of strength was an indisputable fact. In secret, the other ninja villages began making small moves, testing Konoha's response.

They still did not dare openly declare war on Konoha again. Though Konoha had been greatly weakened, Senju Hashirama's lingering prestige remained. Not just anyone dared tug at a tiger's whiskers.

However, an awkward situation also arose within Konoha.

According to Konoha's rules, a rebellion on this scale had to be officially classified. Even if no wanted notices were issued, the departing Uchiha Clan still had to be designated as rogue ninja.

Senju Tobirama believed that Uchiha Madara and Uchiha Shin should be defined as Konoha's greatest rogue ninja, with a new rank established above S-rank: the so-called triple-S-rank rogue ninja.

Unfortunately, he failed. The reason was simple: according to the charter established at Konoha's founding, Madara and Shin were members of the highest Decision-making Body. No matter what happened, they could not be stripped of that status.
