The natural world slowed, heaven and earth slowed, and so did his body and senses. Only the sword qi slicing through the air remained utterly unaffected. It was precisely because of that contrast that Hanzo sensed something was wrong.
The sword qi moved so swiftly through this sluggish world that it reached Hanzo in an instant. Alarm bells blared in his heart. He knew he had to dodge—if he did not, he would undoubtedly die. Yet the slowed time and sluggish surroundings restrained him, leaving him nowhere to evade and no way to do so. "How could there be such a ninjutsu? How could there be such sword qi?" Hanzo's thoughts had grown sluggish. In this situation, it seemed he could only await death. At this moment, he no longer doubted Shin's true identity. Other than the legendary God of Time and Space, who could use a ninjutsu capable of affecting time and space? And who else could drive him into such a desperate predicament?
Yet Hanzo was, after all, a ninja standing at the pinnacle of this era. At the critical moment, he forcibly raised both hands and formed hand seals in an instant. Chakra laden with potent poison erupted, and the chain in his hand spun rapidly under his control. In response, Hanzo launched his final counterattack. Countless chakra blades slashed forth, tearing apart the curtain of rain and shattering columns of water. Countless chakra blades struck the sword qi rushing toward him, producing an unbroken series of clashes. It was as though a tornado had swept through this space, dragging everything into its grasp.
The sword qi was deflected by Hanzo's outburst. He twisted his body and barely avoided the most dangerous instant, then rapidly fell through the air and landed once more atop the salamander's back.
