Old Zhao knew Mirai was telling the truth. Though he lived in a water town, he had long heard of Shimura Danzō's name!
Old Zhao said, "Lord Mirai, even if peace lasts only a short time, I will do my best to seize it!"
Mirai smiled and suddenly interrupted him, thinking of one of his disciples—Nagato! He remembered that when he had written a book before, that boy had said something similar. It was also because of those words that The Tale of Strong Will and Patience had found its soul!
"Well said! Brother, I believe in you!" Mirai grasped Old Zhao's hand with a firm gaze. Their four eyes met, and they felt as though they had met far too late.
"Hey, hey, what are Dad and Lord Mirai doing? Don't you think it's strange for two grown men to hold hands so closely?" Terumi Mei curled her lips and said awkwardly.
Old Zhao laughed heartily and paid it no mind.
"Gentlemen! There's no problem with Yagura. Next are the Elders!"
Terumi Mei raised her chin. "Dad, the Elders shouldn't be much of a problem! Yagura has already agreed, so the Elders shouldn't refuse. Otherwise, sooner or later, their status as Elders will be taken away by the Mizukage."
Old Zhao praised his daughter's analysis, but there were still some shortcomings. "Xiao Mei, it isn't a problem for the Elders to agree to stir up trouble, but have you considered what comes next?"
"What comes next?"
"Yes! The purpose of uniting the Elders isn't merely to have them stand up against the Mizukage. More importantly, it is to overthrow the current Feudal Lord and put a new Feudal Lord in power! Only then can the Land of Water restore the mutual restraint between the Feudal Lord and the Mizukage!"
