Background / History

Baiyu transmigrated into the Uchiha clan and spent five years concentrating almost exclusively on swordsmanship. His parents died in battle, leaving him an orphan with little clan support; he graduated from the Ninja Academy two years before the events of Chapter 13 and largely survived through his own efforts. His file portrayed him as a poorly talented ninja unable to master the Three Body Technique, a judgment shaped by his early clumsiness after transmigrating. 3 13

He lived in public housing on the outskirts of the Uchiha compound alongside other marginalized clan members. The Uchiha had been relocated after the Nine-Tails incident, and Baiyu experienced the hostility directed at the clan when entering Konoha. 4 19

Despite being rated a low-tier Chunin by chakra volume, Baiyu developed exceptional lethality through iaijutsu, physical conditioning, and the dynamic vision of his two-tomoe Sharingan. During a B-rank border mission, he killed a Jonin with one draw and broke Biwa Juzo's Kubikiribōchō. 3

Pragmatic and survival-driven, he openly values money, accepts dangerous missions for sufficient pay, and is willing to use poison when necessary to stay alive. His financial anxiety stems from growing up poor and unsupported by the clan. 8 13 21

He can be arrogant, provocative, and calculating toward enemies, clan elders, and surveillance agents. However, he shows concern through actions: he commissions a sword for Hitomi, protects Itachi in battle, cooks for companions, and agrees to help Miroku partly for Shion’s sake. 22 32 44 47
