Background / History

Naruto is ostracized by much of Konoha and has received little ordinary kindness; he tells Yashui that, aside from Iruka, no one had bought him food before. This isolation initially makes him hostile toward Yashui, whom he mistakes for another person looking down on him. Yashui’s snacks quickly soften his attitude. 26

Konohamaru admires Naruto as a mentor figure. Naruto teaches him the Sexy Jutsu and offers him advice that helps turn his jealousy of Yashui’s early graduation into motivation to train. 26
