In the sewers of Dragon Tooth City's outer district, the Naga Wanderer looked respectfully at the high-ranking mermaid Mage before him, Itris.
The mermaid female Mage had now returned to her original appearance: aside from the translucent scales covering certain parts, her upper body was entirely that of a delicate, charming young girl. Her deep-green hair stretched down past her waist like vines, her aquamarine eyes were filled with the profound depths of the sea, and beneath her swanlike neck, her collarbones stood out clearly. From the waist down was a fishtail nearly four meters long; even moving with her body bent, she was still far taller than a Human Race Mana-Wielder.
Itris held a coral-stone staff in her hand, the gemstone at its tip glittering. Hanging before her chest was a porcelain bottle the size of a fist; one careful look was enough to tell it was a moisturizing incense recently produced in Night-Kirin City.
Holding the incense, Itris was fairly satisfied with the Wanderer before her. "Zhuosi, at this hour, are you certain there's still a portal to Night-Kirin City?"
"My Lady Itris," the Wanderer was no shorter than Itris, yet at this moment he bent at the waist, displaying a respectful attitude. "The portal we arranged for you uses the nighttime freight channel. Some time ago, Beastmen were taking that channel to Night-Kirin City every week, then heading from Night-Kirin City to Hindukush."
After saying that, the Wanderer led Itris before several enormous Magic Pattern Cargo Containers. "My Lady, Night-Kirin City itself has aquatic-product dealings with Dragon Tooth City's Blue Dragon Chamber of Commerce, and they all use these boxes for teleportation. Please suffer a little and enter first. Once you arrive in Night-Kirin City, there will be people there to receive you!"
