Inside the lord's manor of White Tree City, Landen watched Dandelion with great interest. He had originally assumed that Dandelion herself carried the White Tree Family bloodline and was therefore eager to involve herself in White Tree City's affairs. Yet the girl clearly had someone else in mind.
So Landen asked, "Oh? We have a noble like that in the Northwest too?"
"Yes, and you know this noble," Dandelion nodded. "Baron Jeo Mormont, the Baron of Wild Bear Territory."
The image of a guileless, sturdy man surfaced in Landen's mind. During the Grey Goose Tribe's attack last year, this baron had lost his eldest son. Afterward, Hark had brought Jeo to Landen, hoping Landen would grant him some supplies.
Landen had taken a different approach, using support measures such as subsidized loans and joint business ventures to practically give him the equipment for half its value.
Ever since Wild Bear Territory had linked up with the Gallop Family's caravans last year, it had reaped profits several times greater than in previous years.
With enough Magic Potions, Baron Jeo's second and third sons, as well as his daughter, had all awakened their Bloodlines. His youngest daughter, Leimes Mormont, had even entered Gallop Academy and become Gleia's student.
"You mean Baron Jeo Mormont of Wild Bear Territory?" Landen confirmed once more.
"Yes. Among Denver's direct bloodline, there are no longer any qualified knights above the junior level. Of his siblings, most were implicated in this incident, while the others are not in the Northwest Territory. Baron Jeo's first wife was Denver's biological elder sister, and his father was also related to the White Tree Family. According to the noble inheritance laws, he is fully qualified to inherit the position of Viscount of White Tree City."
"You make a good point." Landen nodded.
