Landen's idea for the Hunter Corps was simple: have them raid the Hindukush Basin like the Barbarians, targeting the local Human Race.
According to the Beastmen Royal Court's current demands, the main Human Race forces in the Basin had already formed an army and moved west of Iowa alongside the Royal Court's troops. That meant the remaining Human tribes were all Mana-Less. They recognized the Gallop Family's leadership and occupied the lowest rung of society in the Hindukush. Landen was sending troops to rescue them.
Although Wendy and the others opposed the plan to advance into the Hindukush, their ancestor Halcala and the Elf Knight Yavenni were wholeheartedly in favor. Yavenni, in particular, rushed to the newly built Xing 4 Camp early on the morning of the 25th, where she busied herself with several friends from the Imperial Capital.
"Come, come, make sure you capture me fighting the main force of the Beastmen army.
"You there, Leopard-Man, make your expression fiercer.
"Yes, just like that. You Beastmen, make yourselves look fierce..."
When Landen returned from installing streetlights up ahead, he saw Yavenni posing several Leopard-Men to make them look as if they were baring their fangs and preparing to attack.
Behind the Elf Knight, several Elf-descendants were operating some special magical equipment. Once Yavenni had arranged the actors and struck a battle-ready pose herself, the Elves used a Magic Crystal to activate the equipment. Soon, an image had been etched onto a piece of hide the size of an A1 sheet. It showed the Elf Knight fighting back fiercely after apparently being ambushed by Beastmen.
Yavenni looked at the finished image and nodded with satisfaction, then began arranging a second scene. She had Will the Tiger-Man and several Ratmen pretend to flee while she drew her bow, ready to shoot.
