City Development
Inside the simulation hall of the Central Control Magic Matrix, Redbird's report to Landen continued. Aside from a few areas of Night-Kirin City, every city in the territory was rapidly flourishing with the support of Magic Furnaces.
Iowa now housed a huge war-driven population and had consequently swallowed the greatest share of the war's dividends.
The town had gained dozens of restaurants, shops, apothecaries, clinics, and chambers of commerce compared to a month ago. Barbarians, Beastmen, humans, and even several Beastman tribes that had come to seek refuge had all bought up various storefronts. Besides trade, they also engaged in handicrafts and animal husbandry.
Boosted by railways and inland waterway transport, Iowa's commerce and urban scale had now reached the level of six small and medium-sized city-states within Hindukush.
After taking charge of Iowa, Lannia had drawn up new plans for the town's development. She intended to ask the Earth Great Fairies to fully develop an underground river within the mountains, turning the caves inside the mountain not only into a water source and transport passage, but also into a warehouse district and a residential camp for the Finless Porpoise Clan.
"Lannia's idea is to dig a small reservoir when conditions permit in the future, linking the city's water supply, water transport, and Aquatic Race base together. There are also several Dwarf mountain fortresses scattered across the northern Iowa Mountains, and she hopes to attract some Dwarves to settle in Iowa."
As Redbird summarized Lannia's ideas, she sighed. "I think this plan is very feasible. In the future, Iowa could also add more Magic Towers to attract human Mages from Hindukush."
Landen was highly satisfied with Lannia's idea. "Have Lannia prepare a complete planning proposal before construction begins. I'll prepare the necessary funds here."
