Background

Yang Wudi is the patriarch and strongest known member of the Breaking Clan, a lineage built around the Soul Breaking Spear and an extreme cultivation philosophy that sacrifices defense and versatility for overwhelming offense. Before meeting Su Yun Tao, his age, stalled cultivation, and obsession with alchemy had left him believing that he could never reach the Titled Douluo realm. 25 67

He had formerly remained loyal to the Clear Sky Sect alongside the other single-attribute clans. His father died while helping Tang Chen establish the sect's power, and Yang Wudi later led the Breaking Clan in risking its survival for the sect—only for the Clear Sky Sect to abandon them.
