The Alpha Squadron, known as the Blood Eagles, is a symbol of the Terran Confederacy's superior military power due to its lightning-fast tactical mobility.

Alpha Squadron earned the Blood Eagles a "good reputation" through its wild and brutal slaughter, and their commander, Edmond Duke, was the head of the Blood Eagles. Many people thought Duke was a grumpy and stubborn fool, and while that may not be the whole truth, it was pretty much true.

The flagship of Alpha Squadron Norad III, has been traveling at speeds far exceeding the speed of light for over seventy-two hours via a hyperspace jump trajectory, during which time the crew and soldiers have been strapped to accelerometer seats. Being in a hyperspace state, all humans who have grown up in planetary gravitational fields and atmospheric environments will experience some discomfort.

However, Edmond Duke, who was pacing impatiently on the bridge of the Norad III, was clearly not among them. Although to the Alpha Squadron navigators and operators in front of the bridge control console, Duke looked like a gorilla in heat, in Duke's own eyes he was undoubtedly a raging lion.

After suffering several defeats at the hands of Augustus's rebel Fleets, and even losing his flagship Norad II, Duke became a laughingstock among many in the Confederacy Navy.

Even so, Duke wouldn't fly into a rage over such a defeat. The reason Duke has been in a state of extreme anger from time to time lately is mainly because last year, when Augustus's rebel Fleets besieged Tarsonis, his Alpha Squadron was completely outmaneuvered by Jackson's Revenge.

This means that Alpha Squadron has become a complete joke. They spent nearly a month chasing a pirate ship carrying the original Norad II signal tracker in the Koprulu Sector, and finally lost track of it.

It was nearly two weeks after Augustus's Fleets withdrew from the Tarsonis system that Alpha Squadron finally arrived.

Duke couldn't possibly be unaware that Augustus hired someone to frame him. Now, Duke's hatred for Augustus is only growing.

As Colonel Duke paced back and forth on the alloy steel deck of the bridge, the crew dared not turn to look at him. Although Duke did not physically punish his men, being berated by him was not something to be pleased about.

Finally, after a slight tremor, the new flagship of Norad III Alpha Squadron leaped out of the hyperspace tunnel.

The Norad III is a Behemoth-class Battlecruiser built at the end of the Guild Wars. It is more robust than the Norad II and has more laser and cannon armaments. It is a masterpiece of the Terran Confederacy Navy's firepower superiority theory and the art of strong ships and powerful guns.

As the Alpha Squadron warships leaped out of the hyperspace passage, the surrounding area was filled with vortexes radiating blurry halos due to the spatial distortion that sucked in light. Between the hammer-shaped Behemoth Battlecruiser were rectangular destroyers, supply ships, APOD transport ships, and Wraith.

Alpha Squadron's Fleets also includes two scientific research vessels. These research vessels, with gyro-shaped hulls, can reach a diameter of 1,000 feet (about 300 meters) and are equipped with radar antennas and state-of-the-art sensor arrays on their tops. One of them even has the words "Amerigo" written in white English letters on its hull.

The Terran Confederacy typically uses the highly sensitive sensor arrays on its scientific ships for border surveillance and security scanning missions. Currently, these ships are primarily used for scientific research, and Confederacy researchers are still working to equip these scientific ships with weapons and shield systems.

"Damn Augustus Mengsk, I saw through his wolfish ambitions long ago!" After the Norad III jumped out of the hyperspace tunnel, the main screen on the bridge in front of Duke suddenly showed the Mar- Sara geosynchronous orbital space station and the images sent back by aliens, showing that many parts of the planet were in the midst of war.

The rebel army and its vehicles are advancing across the orange-gray Gobi Desert, leaving many Confederacy military bases and fortresses in ruins.

Duke quickly realized that if his troops could still connect to the satellites and space station in geostationary orbit around Mar- Sara, it meant that these facilities had not yet fallen into the hands of the rebels.

Even if the rebel Fleets was weak, they shouldn't be unable to do this. The rebels' intentions were obvious: they wanted the Confederacy Fleets to take over these facilities to see if Mar- Sara was in dire straits.

Meanwhile, the radar display of Norad III detected signals from six battlecruisers, two of which were already obsolete Leviathan- class battlecruisers, while the sensor arrays of the science ships in Alpha Squadron detected more small ships hidden on the far side of the planet.

"Amerigo calling the flagship bridge, we have detected fluctuations in the hyperspace passage two standard times ago at 7,114." At this moment, the captain of the science ship Amerigo replied to Duke.

"The rebels are trying to escape!" Duke realized the problem in an instant. "Stop them!"

The brilliant and resourceful Duke immediately made his judgment; he was eager to challenge the Revolutionary Army Fleets and avenge his previous defeat.

Alpha Squadron possessed eleven active Behemoth-class Battlecruiser. These unparalleled steel behemoths immediately headed towards the six Revolutionary Army battlecruisers under Duke's command, with hundreds of other warships following closely behind. The bright orange flames spewing from the numerous warships' propellers looked like a moving, bright brush against the black background of deep space.

"Sir, this could very well be a trap." Duke's adjutant clearly saw more in this. "We must be careful."

"Our opponent is Augustus Mengsk," the adjutant, a young man with dark brown curly hair, said. "Not those simple-minded Kel-Morian men."

"Stop the Fleets." Upon hearing Augustus's name, Duke's anger subsided; a chilling rage quickly calmed him down.

The name Augustus Mengsk has gradually become a nightmare for many high-ranking officials of the Terran Confederacy and even the Confederacy Navy commanders. He first destroyed the Dylarian Shipyards and seized a large number of battlecruisers, and then pointed his sword at the Tarsonis Prime Star with astonishing decisiveness.

Those in high positions of power in the Terran Confederacy feared that Augustus overthrow their rule, while the generals of the Terran Confederacy Augustus. But thanks to the rebels, the Confederacy Navy's military expenditure increased day by day over time, the officers' power grew, and the benefits they received increased accordingly.

"Let the stealth Scout take off." -Duke

"Colonel, Governor Martha Sara requests to establish a communication link with Norad III," Duke's navigator suddenly said to him.

"That Ma Sara pig!" Duke roared in fury.

Despite saying that, Duke eventually connected with Governor Mara Sara's communication link.

"Colonel Duke, Augustus Mengsk, that damned traitor is at the gates. They've besieged Redstone Fortress and Essenyan Londo." A bloated, greasy face appeared on the main screen of the Norad III's bridge, making Duke feel nauseous.

"Who is commanding this rebel army?" Duke's mind raced through the names of various Revolutionary Army.

"Is it Jim Raynor of Shiloh or Tychus Finley the scoundrel?"

"I can confirm it is Augustus Mengsk himself; our Scout captured Golden Wolf Banner flying over the rebel command center," Governor Mara Sara wept.

"Duke, you absolutely have to come and save me!"
