After the Revolutionary Army psionicists conducted a lengthy investigation and made some contact with the political leanings of the New Canaan Horner family, Augustus was able to determine that this small local family was both a sympathizer of the Korhal and also had a considerable degree of anti-Federalist tendencies.

Thus, after sending Matt Horner Matt Horner, who was full of revolutionary fervor, back to the Horner Family, Augustus was able to have a long conversation with his parents as a Revolutionary Army officer, and promised to send Matt Horner to Umojan University and pay all his tuition fees in the future.

After that, Augustus was very politely informed by the patriarch of the Horner Family that they would need some time to decide whether to send their young second son into a colonial rebel army with an uncertain future.

It was precisely because of this that Augustus able to stay on the Tyrador IX for a longer period of time, experiencing the local customs and unique tourism industry. However, the Korhal Revolutionary Army's primary duties were not neglected. A considerable number of agents who had received professional training in Umojan and key members of the Pan-Terran Revolutionary Party infiltrated various colony planets and satellites in the Taradorn System under various false identities, and revolutionary ideas began to spread throughout the system along with the footsteps of these people.

In early April of that year, Augustus, who was temporarily free, went to a restaurant in the New Canaan XC District and, with some strange feelings, attended a date with the legendary Ghost operative Sarah Kerrigan.

Nearly two years had passed since Augustus and Kerrigan first met in Korhal IV, and the opportunity for them to get to know each other came when the Ghost operative chopped off the head of Augustus's father, Angus Mengsk's, double.

New Canaan's XC District is far from the city center. As the oldest district, XC District was originally just a fishing village and is home to a large population, including both the middle class who can maintain a relatively decent life and the poor working class.

XC District also boasts the first and largest interplanetary port on the entire Tyrador IX. Every day, hundreds or even thousands of contract workers and cheap laborers from other planets are transported to the port by mammoth transport ships. After passing through various quarantine and health checks, these people are sent to various resorts to perform work far exceeding their wages in order to generate huge profits for their bosses.

The glamorous lives of the nobles and ruling class in Taradorn were built on the suffering of these people, while the regulatory bodies of the Terran Confederacy turned a blind eye, because they too were beneficiaries of this "26th-century slave trade."

Bankrupt individuals, the unemployed, and large numbers of war refugees from various Confederacy Allied colonies flooded into the core world, bringing fleeting prosperity and persistently high crime rates to certain regions.

This urban area is a mixed bag, but the area near the Star Harbor is relatively safe. A large number of skilled Taradorn police officers and armed security guards meticulously protect the property of employers, and it is rare for criminals to rob shops at midday.

The restaurant Augustus located is built in the post-Baroque style. The central, outward-protruding building features a triple arched window design, with delicate triangular lintels and elegant cornices on the two rows of large windows. The three-dimensional building style is unified and orderly.

Judging from the restaurant's magnificent architecture and the family crest on the eaves, it was clearly a small investment from a Old Families of the Confederacy. The interior was clean and tidy, and all the staff had received relatively professional training, so there was no inconsistency in their quality.

Everyone assumed that the local nobles of Taradorn were the most powerful people in Taradorn, but in reality, 90 percent of the land in cities like New Canaan belonged to the Old Families of the Confederacy. They were the biggest real estate developers and the main investors in the pillar industries.

There weren't many people in the restaurant; most were tourists visiting New Canaan, at least half of whom were Augustus's guards and highly trained agents.

These Revolutionary Army soldiers, responsible for protecting the marshal and ready to sacrifice themselves at any time, all had serious expressions. Even when enjoying their food, they held their knives and forks as if they were swords. Their hard faces and bulging muscles constantly proclaimed to those around them how formidable these tough men were.

The woman on the date was not happy about having so many people around, but she didn't want to put the Revolutionary Army marshal in danger because of her own selfish desires. There were far too many people willing to die to protect Augustus, but there could only be one leader like him. If he were gone, it would only be a matter of time before the Revolutionary Army fell apart.

However serious the expressions of these Revolutionary Army who had fought on the battlefield for many years were, they were all very concerned about the progress of this appointment. In any case, this event would surely become something they could boast about to their descendants many years later.

Augustus didn't put much effort into his attire today, since the few military uniforms in his wardrobe were sufficient for any date.

Augustus, dressed in a black stand-up collar coat, held a glass of wine in his hand, looking relaxed and smiling, as if he were already very familiar with this kind of scene, and the girl with fiery red hair in front of him was just one of the many women surrounding him.

However, Augustus didn't have much experience dating pretty girls. Based on his experiences over the years, he was probably particularly good at drinking and making merry with the rough men in the army camp.

The heroine directly opposite him, Sarah Kerrigan stunning beauty. Her beauty was entirely different from that of the noble ladies of Korhal IV or Tarsonis, completely devoid of any affectation. Kerrigan like an icy jade Phoebe, naturally beautiful and unadorned.

Sarah Kerrigan wore a custom-made black slip dress with ruffled trim. The Umojan designer had reached the pinnacle of using sheer silk fabric in this black gown; the smooth, form-fitting dress clung to Kerrigan's beautiful curves, with the undulating hem reaching her ankles.

The gown features a flowing, fishtail train that unfolds at the back, creating a breathtaking spectacle as Kerrigan sits in her chair. The deep pink train spreads out like a peacock's tail.

This was a gift Augustus gave to Kerrigan on her seventeenth birthday, and it was the first birthday gift she had received since her fifth birthday.

Kerrigan isn't keen on fancy clothes or other sparkly accessories; her attire is quite simple, often switching between military uniform and Ghost operative combat gear. But that doesn't mean she doesn't like these things. Deep down, Kerrigan is still a little girl who needs protection.

"Finally, this day isn't so busy for you," Kerrigan Augustus across from her.

"You can finally look at me properly now."

Kerrigan's love for Augustus was sown the moment they first met. Augustus saved Kerrigan during the darkest hour of her life, like a ray of light in her tragic and dark existence.

Augustus never truly viewed Kerrigan as a tool for assassination or a disposable object. He genuinely treated her as an equal, a person deserving of respect. Augustus was perhaps the only person in the world completely unafraid of Kerrigan, and his appointment of her as his personal bodyguard is the best proof of that.

After two years of reflection, in Kerrigan's heart, Augustus had become an absolutely irreplaceable person.

This is not an unbelievable thing, after all, almost every girl who met Augustus fell in love with him. Augustus not only possessed a strong leadership quality and charisma, but was also a man who could give women a sense of security and reliability.

His Arcturus offered his own explanation for Augustus's attraction to women: it was impossible for anyone not to like his brother Augustus Mengsk.

Augustus flashed his signature smile, admiring Kerrigan's flowing, fiery red hair, her bare, rounded shoulders and arms, and the subtle V-shape outlined by her strapless bra.

Kerrigan's attire was clearly in the style of a noblewoman from the Korhal IV faction, with long sheepskin gloves that extended past her elbows and a nearly transparent silk shawl draped over her shoulders, adding to her mysterious and alluring charm.

Normally, Kerrigan always wore her hair in a neat long ponytail, which was necessary for her near-espionage work. But now, Kerrigan's permed, fiery red hair flowed like waves over her bare shoulders.

"Radiant," Augustus commented.

"How does it compare to Lisa Cassidy, Ariel Hansen, Clara Terra, and Lilith Holt?"

"None of them can compare to how beautiful you are today." Augustus smiled, gracefully taking a plate of dessert from a waiter beside him, and then handing it to Kerrigan.

"Is that really what you're thinking?" The downside of dating a Psionics is that she knows exactly what you're thinking, so all sweet words and vows must withstand real scrutiny. Most importantly, the innocent feelings and the desire to explore each other's unknown territories that young men and women experience on a date will vanish.

"Of course," Augustus said frankly. "What else could I possibly think? It's not wise to bring up other ladies on a date, Miss Kerrigan, I must remind you of that."

Few people know which woman Augustus truly loved. Rather than saying it was because there were too many women around Augustus to make it difficult to distinguish, it's more accurate to say that he never showed any particular affection for any one person.

Augustus spent far more time with his brothers, soldiers, and the war room than with women. His generals could even use this as evidence that Augustus Harnack more than Kerrigan.

However, Kerrigan knew perfectly well that Augustus actually liked her. This feeling was quite strange, as if Augustus had liked this girl even before he met Kerrigan.

Every time Kerrigan read this blush-inducing thought into Augustus's mind, she found it incredible.

It's as if Augustus loved Kerrigan in a past life.

"Then how else do you want to praise me?" Kerrigan stood up, lifted her skirt, and twirled gently, the Franconian dress fluttering like flower petals.

The physical training that Ghost operative underwent sculpted Kerrigan into a near-perfect physique. Her tailor-made, meticulously tailored black dress undulated with Kerrigan's S-shaped curves, exuding irresistible allure.

"You are so perfect, Sarah," Augustus said, setting down his glass and smiling at Kerrigan.

Augustus rarely flattered a woman in this way, but that doesn't mean he wasn't good at it.

"What would you like to eat?" Then, Augustus picked up the menu again, his fingers sweeping over several desserts, fried foods, and expensive wines.

However, Augustus did not receive the answer he wanted. As he looked up to find the answer, the fragrance of perfume wafted over him, and his lips, painted with lipstick and as red as flames, were reflected on them.

The girl's kiss was so innocent and clumsy that it seemed excessively passionate and fiery. It was a long, breathless kiss; the girl with long, fiery red curly hair rested her hands on the table, two strands of red hair falling from her cheeks and teasing Augustus.

They kissed as if they had only one minute left to live.

When Kerrigan released Augustus, she was flushed and breathing heavily from the suffocatingly deep kiss.

Augustus adept that it made Kerrigan tremble.

An oblivious bystander whistled at an inopportune moment, which made Kerrigan even more embarrassed.

Sarah Kerrigan has always been a person with extremely strong self-control and a calm mind, but in her normal life she has a fiery temper. If anyone provokes this Ghost operative, what awaits them is either a bullet or cold, razor-sharp words.

But Kerrigan now really does resemble a shy young girl.

"You're much more proactive than I expected," Augustus laughed.

"Your methods of manipulating women are always so sophisticated. If I don't kiss you, you will never kiss me." Kerrigan sat down angrily, looking at her delicate red shoes with frustration.

"I never play with other people." Augustus felt the kiss and laughed, "Where did you hear these rumors? I certainly haven't tasted all the ladies and young women of Tarsonis —I think it must have been that bastard Harnack who said it; he's just jealous of me."

"How would I know? I'm not you," Kerrigan said. "You're always hiding something from me."

"I have nothing to hide about my love for you," Augustus said sincerely.

"I swear, you are the first girlfriend I've ever had," he said.

"I hope this is the last one," Kerrigan said, blushing.

Augustus stood up and took Kerrigan, black-gloved hand in his. "Let's go back."

"Where to?" Kerrigan knew the meaning behind Augustus's words.

"I can feel your ugly, primitive, animalistic, and intense surface thoughts, really."
